- I believe it, guys. I believe it. (Laughing) (bright electronic music) I change my hair color just as often as people change their clothes. For me, it's just really
about expressing myself.

- I never used to color my hair, until this year. I started playing around
with some different colors, and I think it's really fun. - So today, we are trying
heat-reactive hair color. - I hear it changes color with heat? I don't know how that works.

- I'm a little bit of a skeptic. I want it to work, so I can just be like a dope ass person, walking around with different hair every second. But, we'll see if that becomes a reality. - My name is Lissette Cruz.

The type of heat that you could use are Pravana's Vivids Mood Color, spans from just walking into the sun, from touching it, breathing on it, blow dryer, flat iron. I'm so excited to show the girls, they are gonna be blown away. So this is one of our colors, and this is Tropical Peach, that turns into Transparent, which exposes the blonde piece underneath. This one in particular is Lime Green to Sunny Yellow.

You ready? - I think? (Bright electronic music) - (laughs) Oh my god! - What?! That was just with your mouth! (Breathes) - How does it do that?
(Laughing) (gasps) - Yo, this can get weird. - When it cools down, it goes right back to its peachy color. - Oh, and then it just changes. Ahh, this is dope! (Playful orchestral music) Oh my god!

It was like I was walking around with a little magic trick all day. - I feel like if I were
to just see this online, I would never believe that it works, but it totally works. - This was just a really cool, like, temporary change that I
didn't have to commit to. And I think it's a really
good way for, like, people to just try something new.

Why Does Your Hair Turn GraySpeaking of Chemistry

Theres no surer sign that youre getting
old than finding new gray hairs. But scientists have finally identified a gene involved in
the hair-graying process. What does this mean and how does your hair actually go from colored
to gray? Watch and weep. Geneticists recently examined the DNA of more
than 6,000 people and found specific genes that influence things like baldness, beard
thickness, hair curliness, and even unibrow...Ness.

But the find that got the most attention was
a particular variation in the IRF4 gene that affects when your hair goes gray. Finding
this specific graying variation in the gene could help scientists develop products to
slow the graying process. Or, speed it up, I suppose, if you want to be a silver fox or
avant garde hipster. But we all actually start out gray, in a way.
Before your hair pops out of your scalp, its completely white.

It gets its color from chemistryspecifically
a group of pigment molecules called melanin, which also determine your skintone and eye
color. For hair, theres eumelanin that creates dark shades and pheomelanin that produces
lighter hair colors. The proportion of these two types determines yourand everyone elseshair
color. How that color gets into your initially colorless
hair is up to your follicles.

Every hair follicle in your scalp contains cells called melanocytes,
which produce melanin. As hair grows in the follicle, melanocytes inject melanin pigments
into your hair cells that contain keratin, a protein thats also in your skin and fingernails.
So as your hair grows out of your head, it gets dyed with its natural hue. Over time,
our melanocytes produce less pigment, so our hair starts to lighten as we age. Scientists have recently found that as we
get older, our hair follicles start accumulating hydrogen peroxidethe same stuff people
use to bleach their hair.

Some hydrogen peroxide is normal. We actually make our own H2O2 as
melanocytes color our hair. Enzymes, especially catalase, break down hydrogen peroxide and
keep its concentration in check. But things get out of whack when older follicles cant
generate enough catalase.

Higher concentrations of hydrogen peroxide attack tyrosinase , an
important enzyme in melanin production. No melanin, no color in your hair. If you havent gone gray yet you probably
will around the same age as your parents did. But what about factors outside of age and
genetics? A recent study suggests that smoking can result in early onset graying.

And people
are always saying stress brings on the gray, right? Just look at how gray presidents get
while theyre in office. Some researchers say emotional stress could accelerate whats
called oxidative stress, the damage caused by reactive oxygen species like hydrogen peroxide.
But others contend there isnt solid scientific evidence backing this up yet. I guess you
could call all of these hypotheses a gray area. At any rate, its probably not worth stressing
about going gray, anyway.

Its completely natural and you can totally rock the look.

What Happens When You Swallow Hair

Youre at your favorite restaurant, and
youre super excited because the appetizers have just arrived. You grab your spoon, ready to dive into your
soup -- which is when you notice that theres a hair in it. You have a few different options here: You could send it back to the kitchen. You could pick out the hair and eat the soup
anyway.

Or maybe just slurp down the soup, hair
and all? As long as its a single strand of hair,
it probably wont do you much harm. A whole clump would be a lot more dangerous -- that
could form a giant hairball in your stomach and earn you a trip to the hospital. But in your soup, theres just one, single
hair. And while it /is/ possible that stowaway bacteria might try and hitch a ride on that
hair -- leading to an upset stomach or diarrhea -- its pretty unlikely.

The hair itself is made up of a densely packed
protein called keratin. Humans arent capable of breaking down keratin -- instead, small
amounts of hair will typically pass right through your body, along with everything else
you cant digest. So you could probably take your chances on
this lonely hair. But if the chef whips up a full plate of freshly-cut
locks of hair, you might want to seriously reconsider, because large amounts of hair
/will/ get stuck in your stomach.

It happens to cats all the time. Cats also cant digest their hair -- or
in this case, fur -- and whatever doesnt pass through their digestive systems builds
up in their stomachs as a firm, dense, hairball, also known as a trichobezoar. Eventually, most cats are able to vomit up
hairballs before they get too bad. Humans will also start to develop hairballs
if they eat a lot of hair -- which sometimes happens to people with trichophagia, a compulsion
to eat hair.

But instead of being vomited back up, a humans
hairball just sits in their stomach, getting in the way of everything else their digestive
system is trying to do. In the most extreme cases, the tail of the
hairball can reach down into the small intestine, a condition known as Rapunzel syndrome. Major surgery is pretty much the only way
to get rid of a problem hairball, where the doctor opens up the digestive tract and pulls
out the hairball. So, all things considered, its probably
not worth eating a particularly hairy bowl of soup.

I really do love curly hair and usually, I just use a curling wand so, hopefully, this will be my new technique! Because i hate crimping it! I hate straightening it and this is so easy to do before bed it took a little less than 20 minutes to do if you all enjoyed this look...

Rapunzel's Makeover - Hair Repair and New Dress

We're going to de-tangle Rapunzel's hair... And transform it from gooey to gorgeous! And we're going to make her a new dress! [Music: Rosie's Tea Party theme song] Rapunzel's hair is a tangled mess! This is no ordinary tangled mess There's glue oozing out of her head It gets all over her hair making a gooey icky sticky mess! This Rapunzel doll belongs to my cousin Rachel and she's here today to help me Say Hi to everyone, Rachel Hi Let's get started We need a spray bottle filled with warm water and one tablespoon of fabric softener and a brush with plastic bristles Spray a section of hair with fabric softener You'll need a lot! Start brushing from the ends up The gooey tangles will be hard to brush so... Spray more fabric softener on them Use as much as you need These are not ordinary tangles You'll end up pulling out some hair... That's to be expected On to the next section Spray lots! You'll need it! The hair closer to the head is the worst! That part has the most glue Next section Spray, spray and...

Spray some more! The tangles are so bad we're going to use a comb This comb is a metal comb It's actually made for dogs It's super strong and great for de-tangling doll hair But you'll still need lots of fabric softener You're doing a great job Rachel! Look at all the hair that got pulled out! Now we're going to wash the fabric softener out We're using Dawn dishwashing soap But any dishwashing soap will work Rub the soap all over the hair Work it in so you get every strand Lather it up! Now we're going to rinse it all off with warm water The next step is to apply Goo Gone on her hair This product takes off gooey sticky stuff like... Makeup from hard surfaces... Stickers from objects... Gum from your shoes and...

Crayon marks off walls This Goo Gone has a danger label Right here. See? Kids should not be using this You'll need an adult to help you with this step There are warnings in the back It says contents harmful! Do not swallow I'm going to put this all over Rapunzel's hair Make sure you cover every strand of hair from top to bottom Work it in so you get every strand Now to wash my hands Dishwashing soap does the job better than hand soap I'll leave the Goo Gone on Rapunzel's hair for 15 to 30 minutes About 20 minutes have passed and now we're going to wash out the Goo Gone Use lots of dishwashing soap! Rub it in and get every strand of hair Rinse it off with warm water Pat her hair dry with a towel Her bathing suit is wet so I'll take it off She's looking good! And her hair feels really clean No sticky gooey feel to it So because of the glue seepage De-tangling and de-frizzing Rapunzel's hair has to be done a little different See her scalp? See those little holes where the hair is coming out of? There's glue inside her head In high temperatures, the glues melts a little and seeps out from the top This is why I didn't give Rapunzel a hot water rinse when I washed her hair I don't want any more glue coming out so... I'm going to keep her head out of the hot water in this step This water is very very hot It's almost at boiling point Put her hair in but keep her head out of the water See? The water is really close to her head Keep her hair in the hot water for 2 to 3 minutes Take her out and put her on a towel Pat her hair dry Stand her up in a tall mug Comb or brush her hair the way you want it to dry Rapunzel's hair is straight with no curls so... We don't have to so anything to it at this point...

You'll need a hairband like this They come in all sorts of colours We got these at the dollar store Look at all the colours and patterns Just make sure they are the stretchy kind They're tubed shaped See? Like this! And you'll need some stretchy fabric hair elastics like these We got these at the dollar store We're going to make Rapunzel's dress purple It's her favourite colour I'm going to cut it at the sem Cut both sides of the seam Now it's one long tube. See? The colour of the hairband is dark so... I'm going to show you on a toilet paper roll what I'm going to do So let's pretend this is the purple tube hairband I'm going to flatten it so it'll look like the hairband Now I'm going to open it up and flatten it so... The first fold is now in the middle I'm going to do the same thing to the hairband Open it up and fold in the middle and flatten it Like this.

See? Now I'm going to draw lines on the toilet paper roll to show you where I'm going to cut Draw a line the width of your finger draw a line just past the centre I'll mark the centre for you because you can't really see the centre fold Here it is up close See the centre fold? I'll draw it in more just so you can see That's the centre So I drew this line that's just past the centre Now I'm going to draw another line starting from the centre. See? The line curves and then goes straight. Like this Now I'm going to cut the first line I drew Cut a little past the centre mark. See? Now cut the second line up to the centre It'll look like this.

See? Now I'll cut the top like this so it'll look like this So now that I showed you how to cut on this toilet paper roll I'm going to do the exact same thing to the hairband Draw the first line the width of your finger Just past the centre fold Draw the second line from the centre fold Curve it and go straight Your lines will look like this See? Now cut your lines It's cut just like the toilet paper roll Next cut the top like this I'll cut the length later Now to get this on Rapunzel Pull it right up to her arm pits Hold on to the ends of the top and pull It'll go skinny and curl That's what you want This will be the tie that will go around her neck Pull the dress up so that the tie is right up to her neck Turn her over and tie the tie You don't have to make it a bow but I'm going to Turn her over and tuck in the edges so... You get a smooth finished edge Doesn't she look awesome?! Now for the finishing touch A belt Rachel wants pink Get it on and pull it up to her waist Wow! So pretty! Now I'm going to cut the length I'm going to make a mark where her toes are See the marks? I'm going to pull down her dress a little so we can cut along the marks Rachel is going to cut it Good job Rachel We can fold her dress up to any length we want I'm going to fold it to mid calf length Doesn't Rapunzel look gorgeous in her new dress? And here's a look at the back Save the piece that we cut off It can be used for a top or a skirt I'm going to change the length of the dress to floor length Now the dress is an evening dress I'm going to change the length again! This time shorter I'm going to flip the dress over the top this time Pull it right up to the belt I'm going to use the belt to cover the edge of the dress And voila! Look! A new dress! The first 30 minutes, we're gonna be watching a tutorial video. After that, we get 30
minutes to cut our own hair. And then right after, we'll
be going around the office asking people how much they

you how to live your life. - None of this is helping me at all. - Are you scrubbing through your tutorial? - Yeah, because I'm impatient, I'm sorry. - Are you ready to cut your hair? - I have no choice, so let's just get this over with, please.

Hey guys real quick before the video starts I just want to say that I filmed this video over the course of two days yesterday [I] had long hair on my sides. [I] filmed a bit then I got a haircut and then today. I filmed all the cutaways [so] that's why I have two different lengths of [hair] in this video also I've got very chapped lips at the moment, so let's go ahead and start the real video. Yeah Hey, what's up guys? My name is [Jill] and today's hairstyle has been Made using completely original as a pre styler and a post Styler before I got the product in I was running out of my little sample jar So I've been practicing cocktailing using original as a pre styler and something else [is] a post dialer but today 100% [original] Hashtag good product Hashtag wink wink Hashtag go get some hashtag.

This is [jo] marketing in case you haven't figured it out anyways on to the actual video for today. Why? How should you use a blow dryer [so] as per usUal when I do videos like this I like to start out with the basics That's what I'm Gonna Do now and will progress a bit more get a bit more detailed as we get later on in the video So let's go ahead and start out with why why I use a blow dryer Do reasons first reason is because a blow dryer allows you to use less product to finish off your style After you finish blow-drying and this is a good thing because since this allows you to use less product You're not going to weigh down your hair by adding too much which could result in hair flop Later on in the day a little bit of product and a blow dryer should result in a hair style lasting a lot longer So the second reason a blow dryer almost always enhances any kind of style that you're trying to go for in terms of [hairstyles] though If you're going for a quiff or a slicked back or even a fringe hairstyle You know facing down using a blow dryer is going to help enhance that style and make it easier to work [with]? When you're applying product, I'll go ahead and show you two examples for this first example I'm styling my hair without a blow dryer My hair is clean and dry and I'm going to be applying original by bloom on straight into it and attempt to get it into the style that I normally have There's two problems with this first since my hair is not already dried into that position I want [its] a lot more effort to make it. Go that way [the] second problem I have to apply more product than usual. Which in turn makes it look less natural Which brings me to my second example now? I'll be using a blow dryer going for the exact same look After blow-drying it into the desired direction, not only is it much easier to apply [products] But I'm also able to use less and get a more natural-looking hairstyle It looks better Basically all in all now I understand that there's exceptions to the rule and not everyone is going to need a blow dryer So if you're one of those people don't get mad at me I know that you exist my point was to basically show you how a blow dryer can enhance your style If you use it correctly [okay], so that brings us to the next section How should we use a blow dryer? This obviously comes down to your hair type and the type of style that you're wanting to go for however There are a few tips that can be applied to everyone using a blow dryer So that's what I'll go through now first up the damp of your hair is before you start The better the style will look once you're finished blow-drying I'm not saying that you need to blow-dry [your] hair while it's soaking wet, but basically the damper It is the more it will listen once it's dry this is simply because the dryer that your hair is the more trying to fall into its natural state in terms of Texture the way it grows those kind of things But if you blow dry it when it's wet you're not giving your hair the opportunity to fall into its natural position Thus Allowing you to blow dry in the direction that you want to you get it basically if you blow dry when it's really wet it Can't really fight against you if that makes sense secondly the more heat that you use when you blow dry Again the more your hair will [to] you basically hot air loosens up your hair follicles and makes it So that they are more prone to listening to what you're trying to tell them to do when you're blow-drying them into a specific direction people often ask me if it's okay to use the hottest setting on your blow dryer and My answer is it depends on how healthy your hair is if you take care of your hair generally and you feel like it's pretty Healthy [I] said go for it use the hottest heat however if your hair is more on the drier side Then I've suggested using the medium heat setting not on full blast [heat] and of course I'll always recommend using a heat protectant before you blow dry to add some extra protection to your hair and in case you forgot Original by Bloomin has heat protectant element built into it as well as pre styling Capability as well as post styling and capability so just as everything finally when your hair is completely dry or at least almost completely dry switch over from the hot setting on your blow dryer to the complete coldest setting and Continue blow-drying your hair in the same direction as you've been doing just as hot air Opens up the hair follicles cold Air Closes them back down and locks them into position by blasting your hairstyle with cold air is going to help make that style last longer as well and also when you're [blow-drying] with cold air you can hold the blow-dryer closer to your hair because that's going to give a Greater Impact, but it's not going to damage your hair at all [alright].

Good job everyone for listening so far I've just got [one] more [thing] to talk about and this is hair styling tools like in addition to a blow dryer I'm going to be showing you how styling tools can make a big difference on your final outcome first I'll be using this paddle brush to go for a side-swept look without too much volume I'm simply blow-drying my hair in the same direction the entire time to get it to set straighter One last coating the product to set it all together and boom Shacka Lacka the first dial is done son I know you like buns, son [chat] [how] [does] the song go [and] for the second style again starting with Damp hair and original as a pre styler? Japanese Hair Transformation

My hair, exactly! Today I'm going to change my hairstyle! Which basically as a girl it means, I'm going to change my entire
personality and spiritual being. Right now my hair is bleached
and has extensions in it. Because I thought that... Long blonde hair is the 'thing' I have to do.

Because that is like the ultimate.. It's the pinnacle of attractivity? But then I realized that I am me! And just because some people say that long blonde hair is the ultimate attractive hairstyle, doesn't mean that I feel comfortable with it or that it is the best hairstyle for me. Soo~ I've decided to go back to my roots again, and dye my hair dark brown and straighten it. And with straightening I mean Shukumo Kyoysei.

Which is Japanese for straight permer... Perm? Parm? Parmer?? Parmesan? But before we make a trip to the hair salon, I will have to remove my extensions. Super easy to remove at home with some nail polish (remover) and cotton pads. So we're gonna put some nail polish on that cotton pad, then hold it onto the seal..

Wait a few seconds... We should be able to peal off the seal without problems... *Sounds of pain* Hell no... We go to the hair salon right now! So I arrived a bit too early, which means we'll have time for um...

Afternoon snack! This is a stand, which has squid fried noodles. And not only that but also squid pancakes. I think I'm gonna try a squid pancake. *Nom* Its a really really squishy pancake.

Its almost like the pancake itself contains the hidden squishyness of a squid. And it tastes so good! Japanese foods can have like the weirdest names ever, but it's literally my most favorite cuisine in the world! Wow~ The weather is so great today ^^ I have made my journey to the hair salon. My glasses have its own little tray. I'm also currently spamming Manaki with attractive pictures of myself~ So the first part of the straightening treatment has been applied and it looks like this.

Yay~ I got black coffee~ This is a fancy cup holder. I imagine this is what hobbits would use. In a... Good sense.

They really like Justin Bieber in this place... What's the next step after straightening? The next step is hair dye. In order: straightening, hair dye and treatment. Look~ My hair is so straight now! I can like, never ever get it this straight with just the straightening iron.

Even if I get it to my maximum hair straightness, it goes back to it's wavy voluminous form in like... Like half a day! Again, it's super annoying and super time consuming! We're getting ready for coloring~ I feel like already this... Dark paste smeared on my head looks better than the color before. I don't know, but I just prefer darker hair on myself~ They couldn't take off the extensions and I will have to go to the store where I got the extensions to take them off.

Which is horrible... Maybe it's quite obvious...? Alright, It's time to wash off the hair color!~.

I Tried Cutting My Hair Off With A Sword Like Mulan

- So we knew we had to do it. Here's the deal, Mulan is a teen in a time when people have to fight for their country. So she's like oh shit dude, I gotta like pretend to be a guy so my dad doesn't die, because I'm a boss bitch
and I'm also really sweet. There is a pivotal scene, it's like pouring rain.

She hugs a pole, runs fulls speed with drenched hair into a pitch black room
with nothing but a curtain. She's like I'm gonna do it, right here, right now. Not with scissors, fuck scissors. Looks at herself in her sword reflection, she's like shit I would
look good with a bob.

Maybe, she didn't say that. And then be like I'm just
gonna cut it all off. And then she just like puts in a high bun and she's like bye. Wait.

risk for cutting her hair.

learning the straight sword, which is one of the four major

learn like thousands of years worth of history in like a couple hours, but Cissy fucking killed it.

able to chop the wood in half. - I couldn't help but be inspired. To see her like actually moving around in something that wasn't high heels was a really big deal for me.

- In order to chop my hair with a sword, there are several things that
I'm gonna have to accomplish. - I'd have to think
about holding out my arm, bending it at an angle so that when the sword comes
through it doesn't cut me. And then at the same time, come straight through my
hair at a 45 degree angle. So not 46, not 44, but 45's the magic number for tomorrow.

- [Bruce] That's it. You see how that works? - Tomorrow is going to
be very interesting. Because you only get one shot, baby. - Today is my last day
seeing you as Cissy.

I Straightened My Curly Hair For The First Time

a little crazy recently. This is the biggest my
Jew fro has ever been. I mean really, it's about

Every time my hair gets long, I don't know what to do with it. I try and wet it, I try and brush it, and no matter what, it
still looks like this. I've tried everything and

gonna drench my hair in it. (Upbeat music) How much do I put in? My boss just said you

My curly hair, it stands out, but it's me. I'm the crazy kid with crazy hair. You should always embrace the things that make you unique, and if

You have to apply this oil two to three times in a week. If you use it for four to five times its a good thing. You have to massage your head and apply it from roots till the end of your hair. Massage it and then leave it in your hair from 40 minutes to two hours.

totally different and it may well go very wrong.

Sike. It actually did not go wrong. It went very right. I just cut my hair on YouTube, and Im super
excited with the way that it turned out.

So, Im gonna share this tutorial with you
guys. This is for all of you busy women out there,
busy students on the go, busy moms--all you women who are looking to give yourself a little
trim without spending that extra cash. Alright, guys. So, I hope you enjoy this tutorial.

Alright, guys. Here is everything that Ill be using for
this tutorial. A garbage bag to create a little protector
for my clothes, a paddle brush, a comb, hair scissors, some hair elastics, and just some
water in a water bottle. First thing that I am going to do is brush
this hair to make it as straight as possible.

I already washed my hair maybe 40 minutes
prior to filming this tutorial, but its already kind of dry. So, Im going to need to spritz it with
some water to get it a little bit more damp. Next, Im gonna take my garbage bag and
some scissors, and Im gonna create a little t-shirt--a little protective t-shirt for my
clothes and also for my room because Im not trying to have any hair in my video room. So, I just cut out a hole for my head.

That should be big enough, and then Im
gonna cut out some arm holes. I think Im just gonna cut all the way down. Then, Im gonna put this creation over my
head. Perfect.

Exactly what I was looking for. Alright. So, now that Im cutting my hair, my table
and my floor will be protected. Im gonna flip all of my hair forward.

Im gonna brush it out one more time, and
then Im going to separate it in the middle. Im gonna create a part using this comb. Im gonna keep it as straight and even as
possible so that both sides of my hair are equal, meaning that theres the same amount
of hair in this side as in this side. I gotta say, Im a little nervous.

Ive done this countless times, but Ive
never done this on camera. So, Im afraid that I may mess up, but I
hope I wont. I find that working with wet hair is much
easier than working with dry hair. So, thats why Im doing that.

Im gonna brush it out one more time. Because my hair is layered, I just want to
trim the bottom part of my hair. So, the longest layer. What Im gonna do is take about this much
off.

Whew, here it goes. And then, Im gonna use my comb to make
it even straighter. Now, that actually looks a lot more than an
inch and a half--more like two inches and a half, but thats okay. My hair was dead anyway.

Okay. Time to make them match. Im gonna repeat the same thing on the other
side. Brush it out, take it into my fingers, use
my fingers as a guide first, and then use the comb for a straight edge.

Straight enough. Next thing Im gonna do is gather up all
of my hair in this front pony. This could be a style, huh? And Im just gonna secure it with an elastic,
brush it out, and then Im gonna chop a little bit from the bottom of the pony. Something like this.

Now, because you dont want everything to
be super straight, you can go into the hair and cut vertically, like so. It also helps to sort of twist the hair and
cut it at a diagonal. Especially if you have layers, this is a great
trick for layers. Woo.

Okay. Elastic off. Im gonna split my hair down the center
one more time and Im just gonna do the same thing--cutting upwards--on each of the
two sides. Okay.

Combing this hair, picking it up with my fingers,
and Im gonna flip over the ends so I can see them and so that you can see them. Something like this, and then Im going
to sporadically go in and gently cut on a vertical angle. Same thing on the other side. Just a little vertical action.

This helps to sort of sheer out the volume
of your ends because you dont want your hair to kind of look like a bell. Its not not cute. You want it to be thinner on the bottom so
that its nice and fluffy and full of volume on the top. Just spraying over the front of my hair because
Im gonna do a little trim here too.

Im getting really ambitious here. Im going to go down on a sort of diagonal
and very gently trim off that angle like that. Cool. Im not gonna get too crazy because, honestly,
I dont even know if this is gonna look good.

Im hoping it will. And I promise you this is much easier to do
in the comfort of your own bathroom in front of your mirror then in front of the camera. There we go. If youre a righty, just use your right
hand.

Just flip it over, and get this sort of angle
going, and boom. Just making sure that these two are even. Alright. Let me blow dry this hair and Ill be right
back with the final result.

Yikes. Alright, and here is the big reveal. Im gonna push all of my hair to the front
so you could really see it. Not bad, huh? What do you guys think? Heres what it looks like from the back.

I personally have not seen it, but Lee says
it looks good. So, I trust him. I think its a yay. Honestly, Im really, really happy with
the way that it turned out.

I was super nervous, kinda jittery during
the whole tutorial part--especially when I. Was cutting the hair--but now I can breathe
out a big sigh of relief--phew--and Im really happy that this video can be helpful
to some of you. Especially with school right around the corner,
I know all of you busy students, busy moms, busy women on the go, this is kinda something
that will make your life a little bit easier because, lets face it, hair cuts and trims
cost about the same and who has time to get them every three to four months? I certainly dont. This is exactly why I made this tutorial for
you guys.

Hey guys! It's Tina here, welcome back to my channel. For today's hack episode, I'm going to show you some cool hair hacks that will help you create voluminous hair Th first hack I have for you is to change the way you blowdry your hair. Usually I would blow dry my hair downwards, but if you want to create volume, flip your hair over and blow dry your hair upside down. Make sure your hair dryer is on a medium to high heat, that way you can dry your hair in the opposite direction and then when you flip it back around, you'll have some natural volume If you don't want to blow dry your hair because it's already dry, you can use a hair styling powder The one I'm using today is the Evo Haze Styling Powder   All I'm going to do is sprinkle this powder onto my to my roots and I'm going to section off layer by layer so I can get it really in there.

Once it's in I'm going to use my fingers to massage and move the powder around This powder adds a little bit of grit and texture to your hair creating more volume Another way to add volume to your roots is by teasing your hair. All your going to need is a rat tail comb and hairspray. Today I'm using the Fudge Think Big Texture Spray All I'm gonna do is section off that area, spray it with the hairspray and then backcomb the roots. I'm going to do this in small sections around my crown area and then one I'm done, I'm gonna flip the hair back around and smooth out the top layer to cover all the mess underneath and voila! Your hair is more voluminous.

I know teasing and backcombing isn't for everyone because it can damage some really fine hair so if you want another way to create that volume in the roots, you can try crimping your hair. I know right, a crimper. This is so old school but this is really good for creating volume. Today I'm using the Babyliss Pro Super Crimper Once again I'm going to section off my hair and I'm going to start crimping from the inside of my hair.

I'm gonna leave a layer of hair just to cover up the crimp later and I'm just gonna crimp my roots in sections again I do this all around my crown area and then I flip my hair back and because I didn't crimp the top layer and it's still straight I'm gonna use that to cover up the rest of the hair underneath so you hide the crimp. This next hack is great for those of you who are like me and can't blow dry your hair, at least professionally to save your life. Drop your round brush and hair dryer we're gonna go in with a hair curler You want to make sure you pick a big barrel hair curler Today I'm using the Babyliss Pro Styling tool With my hair, I like to divide my hair into two sections and I always curl from the back. So I grab a section on the back and start curling my hair away from my face Once the hair is curled I leave the secition to cool.

This is a really important step, otherwise if touch or brush your hair its gonna go straight again So I do this all around my hair and I grab pretty big sections. This is gonna make the whole process faster and plus I won't want defined curls, I just want my hair to be that nice voluminous blow dried wavy hair just like how the pros do it in the salons Once everything is curled, I'm just going to use my fingers to shake it up a bit This is gonna help cool everything and let some of the hot air out Then I'm gonna use my fingers to brush through my hair and that's it! Doesn't it look amazing? And finally for the ultimate voluminous hair that's gonna last you all day long. Where did the Sun go It was out a second ago, so I woke up today. I was like hey. I hate my hair I don't like it look at this color. It's freaking orange who has orange hair Nobody really has orange hair like come on.

Let's be real right now. It's either blonde or is Brown or if you're a natural redhead Nobody chooses to have this color unless the hair was very badly bleached and has it happen to me My hair was not bleached. Well because I already had color in it so when you bleach it It's gonna give you this really ugly orange color say hello to pustulio by the way It says hi oh no man. My skin's been like hella good, and then this ugly motherfucker pustulio shows up again I'm a camera like I sign my window people driving by like What? Is she taking a selfie Outside her car and the store's peeking at me where I'm going to buy my hair, dye Okay she turned around I.

Gotta fix my tire pressure by the way. I don't know why this is such a issue Okay, is she coming outside? She going on a break. We gonna close the window. I'm gonna do like blue and purple You know that choice was really good it smells like a very clean bathroom But sauce is just shirt right here, so it doesn't go anywhere so Color doesn't go anywhere. Yeah, I know for fact I didn't cover all of this, but like the color looks really cool. It looks like a blue purple My mama's gonna mix it or it's gonna. I think it's gonna be like a dark purple blue color thing oh No, it's all over my neck And the last strand Cabinet Lee makes some of these colors together like the blue and the purple Instead of doing some blue in some circles mark like a mix of the two Should have put some pink in there, then I can be to galaxy had ass lookin ass Okay, guys. I think we did it Damn this shit better wash them.

Oh my goodness look at my scalp It's purple and blue Okay, I'm gonna have to shampoo this so I only blow-dried my hair and look at this oh oh It actually looks purple in the mirror, but in real life I'm - there is this shit's black and this side is like awkwardly blue and It does not look good at all like what there's this this this hair. Dye. I swear It's like bitch. You ain't blonde.

This is same color up here as it is down here I thought the ends would be lighter because they were bleached but apparently not because if you have like bleached hair It's gonna be lighter on those parts Okay, see that. That's a lighter strand. I feel like it just looks lighter on camera and your life is dead ass black black with a hint of Purple, but I mean look at me. I'm back to Sniper Wolf looking ass no more fun Blonde lose my hair looking healthy kind of I mean healthy for me because my hair is like never healthy looking okay I mean kind of let me curl it.

as micropigmentation, or cosmetic tattooing, okay. There are some key difference between what we do and what you
know your tattoo artist at the local shop would do. One, we don't go as deep into the skin.

This is to avoid migration over time. We use a specialized pigment that is diluted accordingly
to match the client's hair tone and skin tone. So today we're gonna be
starting a first session for our client. It's an exciting day
for him as it is for us.

We'll be doing some hairline work as well as density work
throughout the scalp. So the fun part is really in the design and the artwork of the hairline, making sure it's perfect for our client. And then we'll spend about
an hour and half, two hours, filling in follicle by
follicle throughout the scalp to start bringing back that color to make it look as if
his hair was never gone. - My name is Keith Lawrence, I'm here to do scalp micropigmentation.

So if you want to try this out you have to do it slowly you can't just go Automatically straight from everyday to three or four days you have fine thin hair You probably can only go about two to three days without Shampooing it and if you have color and treated hair you can go 3-4 days And if you have curly hair, naturally you can go up to five days, and that's just kind of like the standard Suggested time, but again, it's up to you, and how you train your hair I like to use leaf and conditioners like this cream or sometimes a spray on my hair to prevent dry, dead ends So the first little hack that I use to do, to protect my hair is that I use the no heat Curling method to curl my hair so the gentle curls you are seeing on me right now, I did not use a curling iron I already did a video for this so I'm going to link it right here for you guys to check out But don't do it right now do it after this video okay? Just a note would be watching that video I have like big really tight curls in that video But this one is more loose And the only method that I use differently is that I just curl- or I just braid my hair a little loosely than I did in the video Getting out of the shower after washing my hair I usually dry my hair with a towel So first going to show you what not to do so you don't want to rub your hair with a towel like this? It's pretty bad for your hair because it's very damaging, So instead of doing that I blot my hair with the towel to soak out the water By doing this you're not creating all this friction against your hair which creates damage and frizz, and you should also use a microfiber towel So when I get out the shower After washing my hair I do not brush my hair while it's wet always wait until it's completely dry To brush it because your hair is More likely to break and fall out while it's wet and I do notice that whenever I do brush my hair While it's wet, I just get a ton of shedding I look at the floor, and there's just a pile of black hair on the floor And it just like hurts me like I've cried over it before because it was just-it's just like Disheartening like it's scary, so I don't ever do that, and I suggest you don't either When straightening your hair at a low temperature you usually have to go Over your hair multiple times to get it really straight and this can be very damaging to your hair So what you should do is set your straightener to a high temperature So you only have to go over your hair once to get straight? It's just generally faster anyways to have to go over your hair Just once in that multiple times and you're not damaging your hair as much as doing it in low temperature So another factor that contribute to like the volume of my hair is that I only condition the bottom third of my hair So I noticed that whenever I conditioned my whole entire hair it comes out flatter And I do not get this like natural volume that I have right now So whenever I want that sleek straight hairdo. That's when I conditioned the whole entire head To prevent damage to your hair try not using a blow dryer I actually do not own a blow dryer, and I towel dry my hair all the time But I know that's not very realistic for all the women are all the girls out there So if you do have to blow dry your hair try using a heat Protectant spray before you blow dry it and if you can get a blow dryer that has a cooling mode So you're using cool air rather than hot air.

Have you ever cleaned your hair straightener before and if you said no, you should? Because it just becomes less effective the next time you use it because of all the gunk that's on there So I'm going to show you how I clean my hair straightener alright, so I have some rubbing alcohol in this Bowl And I have a cotton pad here. You can use a cotton swab or a cotton ball so I'm going to dip a little bit of it in here and clean the plates so once the plate is dry get a clean towel and simply wipe all the alcohol away, or just any remaining residue that you might have. So after towel drying my hair and wait for it to completely dry and ready to Brush my hair and I first use a wide tooth comb to brush my hair first And then I use a fine-tooth comb to brush my hair after that so one of the easiest Hacks to get volume in my hair is simply parting my hair the other way or just playing around with my hair and just swifting Sides, you know, so I'm gonna demonstrate that right now. So here's my hair It's kind of been on this side for a while now.

So if I wanted some instant volume I just you know pull my hair on this side and Then I run my fingers underneath and just like really fluff it up and then so it's like just your hair having your hair lay in a different side and a different part it just Creates that instant volume and then you know we just run my fingers underneath to get that full effect Ta da! Newfound volume, what do you guys think, what do you guys think? Whenever I'm about to curl or straighten my hair. I always use a heat protectant spray all over I'm usually pretty careful about checking my hair if it's completely dry before curling or Straightening it when it's not completely dry I can hear the sizzling sound that it makes when I put my straightener or curling iron in it And I just know that I'm frying my hair So that's just no good and you do not want to do any damages to your hair it that way So when I do condition my hair I put it in the lower 1/3 of my hair only and I leave it in for 2-3 minutes and really let the moisture Soak in so ethical 2-3 minutes of letting the conditioner really Soak in I. Apply Shampoo to the 2/3 part of my hair lather it up And then I lather the whole entire head, so everything gets clean and that's how I shampoo and conditioner my hair So before going swimming the best way to protect your hair from Chlorine is to soak your hair completely or washing it with Shampoo, and And then use conditioner because then your hair would absorb all the moisture from the conditioner so rather than the chlorine from the water Another personal hack that I do to create the volume in my hair and I do this every single time After I wash my hair is that I put my hair in a claw Similar to this one so right after I towel dry my hair I put it up in like a half ponytail like this and I take a claw It's very simple, and that's all I do and when I feel my hair is about 90% dry I let go of my claw and my hair is kind of stuck in this like upward position so and then I just kind of again just kind of fluff my hair, and it just creates that big natural full volume To get a sleek updo what I do is I use a seamless hair binder a fine-tooth comb and hair spray I spray it into my hand and I apply it directly into my hair before putting it into a ponytail and then I use a Fine-tooth comb all over my hair and Then carefully tie it into a ponytail and then I spray my whole entire head one more time with the hairspray But even with a sleek hairdo. I have a lot of baby hair all the little tiny ones around me And I really can't tame that with just hairspray and my fine-tooth comb So what I do is I go in with a toothbrush this of Brand-new toothbrush by the way, I don't use an old one.

So what I do is.
