Women With Curly Hair Perfect Their Curls

Women With Curly Hair Perfect Their Curls
- [Offscreen] Turn around. (Explosion) (gasp)
- Oh, my God! (Upbeat electronic music) - Today we're at Curls OneOnOne, and we're gonna get curl makeovers. So I've been straightening my hair for about 12-13 years. I've just recently started
wearing it naturally curly.

- I think I've been straightening my hair for about 15 years. Kids, they would throw
paperclips, erasers, paper wads. They could just try to
chuck it into my hair. Pretty much just straighten
my hair everyday since then.

- Society definitely
made me feel pressured to wear my hair straight. People would say that my hair was messy, even my own mom would be like, "Brush your hair out, keep it clean," and I was like, "This is my
natural hair, I don't know "what to do with it." - Back then, I just didn't feel confident. I didn't feel like myself because I had to pretend to be somebody else. But now I'm finally ready
to see what it looks like, having my hair curly everyday.

- I'm tired of damaging my hair. I wanna embrace my curls more often. Let's get this haircut on the way. - Hi, I'm Donatela.
- Alexis.

- I'm gonna take care of your curls today. Okay, love, talk to me about your hair. - My goal is to kind of
give more bounce to my curl, get rid of the dead ends and
really give it life again. - Maybe take a couple inches off and 'cause I know it's all dead hair.

- Let me explain to you a
little bit about the haircut. They used to cut your
hair before straight. It's not a bad cut, but
it's not for curly hair because it translates
completely the opposite, because the top is pretty heavy, and it doesn't let the curls bounce back. So I want your hair to look
more fuller in the back, and we'll have more fun on the top.

They'll suggest you to not use
too many oils for your hair. I know curly girls would love oils, but we're gonna stay away
a little bit from the oils. (Upbeat electronic music) Don't use this for your hair. This is the worst thing
you can use for curly hair.

- It's all I use.
- It really, really creates a lot of breakage because it's super thin. The best thing would be something thicker. So we're done with the haircut, and now we're gonna jump to the styling. (Upbeat electronic music) Your best friend for your hair is gonna be water, conditioner, massaging.

Water, conditioner, massaging. - Just got it washed. I look like a wet puppy dog right now. (Upbeat electronic music) - You don't have to do this everyday, but you're gonna go out
and want your hair curly, you're not gonna wait
for hours for to dry.

You can take the diffuser, and you're gonna let the
diffuser do the work for you because usually we do this,
which it creates more frizz. So all you do, pretty
gentle, you put your hair in a diffuser, and let it sit. So the gentle you're gonna be
with your hair when it's wet, the better it's gonna look when it's dry. (Upbeat electronic music) - It's like a spaceship, okay.

I just have to wait for this to dry and the transformation is done. (Acoustic guitar) - Oh, my God! My hair looks unrecognizable. Oh, my God my hair looks so pretty. It looks like it shines.

Oh, my God I'm such a big baby. - So this is... - Oh, my God!
- Surprise! - It's so full and healthy. It's so crazy
- It's shiny - And curly.

My curls were waves, and now I feel like they're actually curls. You worked some magic. - My hair feels like it's me. Dang it.

- I feel like a new woman. I know that's so cliche,
but I feel transformed. - I feel like I'm in a dream. I don't think I've ever imagined my hair was ever gonna look like this.

Now that I've learned all the
things I've learned today, I'm gonna start wearing
my hair more curly, like all the time now. - I think I've just
been doing it all wrong for so many years, and
that's why I've been kinda hesitant to wear it curly. I don't know, Donatela
has some magic hands. - I feel like a queen, and
I am ready to strut out on the streets of LA right
now with all of this.

(Acoustic guitar).

UNICORN HAIRDying My Hair Purple at Miju Van Salon

UNICORN HAIRDying My
Good morning everyone. Today, I'm starting off my day in front of Verve Coffee Roasters I'm meeting up with Ivan and I'm also going to get my hair done today. So I'm going to go in first Ivan's on his way, but I just ordered for us. I got the Juice Flight, and some pastries I already started eating this - He woke up like 30 minutes ago, and I was like, we're supposed to meet in 30 minutes
- We're always late - I legit texted her like, I just woke up
- I know - Pipe cleaner
- Oh that should be good - Really? That sounds scary
- Oh green apple Ginger - You didn't even taste it.

He literally just licked the cup
- No, I like ginger. It's good - This one's good.
- I don't like that one. This one not - Dude, we have such different tastes
- Tastes, yeah I like anything with ginger, actually Hot Lei Okay This I- oh, no, I don't like it The aftertaste. It's almost like a metal aftertaste.

It feels like there's pepper inside. - It is spicy, you're okay?
- I don't like it - He doesn't like spicy. Oh yeah, obviously
- Too spicy This is co- ca- the Cali. - It tastes very California
- Is that good? Like diet juices.

It's- it's good. - Do we agree on that one?
- Yeah, there's a pomegranate...
- He doesn't like that one We need to find one where all three of us like but we're running out of juices here The green one is pretty - I liked the first one
- This one? Okay, wait. This one is the tangerine lemonade This is good. That one's good.

But it's not like, the greatest. Right? - He's the final say
- This is like juice, you know?
- Yeah. - This one is not that distinct
- It's kinda like 'what's the point?' Like, you don't have like a distinct flavor for this one Yeah. This is apparently not on this list, the green one, so we have no idea what this is - Are you ready?
- Yeah! It's kinda like, bluish - It looks like...
- Algae It t- yeah! It kinda tastes like NyQuil.

- Really?
- Right? - Doesn't it?
- Yeah. I don't like it. - It makes me sick
- It does, right? - It makes me nauseous.
- I feel like...
- I don't know what this is. - It kinda tastes like they crumbled up rocks and made it into a juice
- Yeah, it tastes like toothpaste It's weird.

Oh my God, The Pixie. Pineapple, strawberry, and orange. - Okay, this is my favorite. This is my kind of juice.
- That sounds safe.
- Safe? Cause it's pineapple, strawberry and orange - Yeah
- It's good - It's good for a chaser
- He doesn't like that one.

That was- that's my favorite. This is like a good chaser after you drink. - Really? Mine's the first one
- The first one's good. I liked the first one - The first one?
- Like compared to others
- This is the Charcoal Lemonade - It's pretty
- Yeah, it's a black drink - No.

The Pixie's my favorite
- I feel like I will like this No? He likes that one. Okay, so there was our short mukbang, right there. I'll see you guys later. We couldn't finish.

So we're going to mix it all in one and - They're going to drink it. I don't want it.
- Oh, guess what color it will be. - Oh, black.

- Brown.
- Brown. - Grey, I'll be grey
- Okay Oh yeah I should help out - Brown
- Green - It's good.
- You're lying. - It's sweet.
-You're lying. - It's not bad.
- I'm not even gonna Here we are Very minimal This is where they work if you ever want to meet them or get your hair done or your lashes done It's nice We're very like...

What's it called? - Hidden, we're very hidden. We don't really put signs up
- Hidden - Do you guys have a Yelp page?
- We do I'll link it down below. - This is Ivan's room.
- Oh.

- Lets go here first
- Okay, give me a tour
- Oh man, it's not clean - This is Ivan's room, and then this is- you can sign our wall
- Yeah Oh, okay You can sign next to Selena Gomez - Oh, where is Selena?
- Right there
- Right here Okay, I'll sign it right there! - This is the hair room
- This is my room Okay, wow Super minimal and.. - This is Timmy, I just met Timmy
- Hi! - Timmyturnthair
- Okay. I'll link all of their Instagrams like right here You could just tell by the way he touches my hair that he's a pro. - I've been doing it for way too long.

- He has. Ivan what are you gonna do today? I'm gonna film my YouTube tutorial right here. - Right here?
- Right here. Okay - Subscribe to Ivan!
- But I don't know what look to do.

How's it looking? Good, we're doing a treatment before we start bleaching We're probably gonna do very little today so we know what to expect and then the next time you come, we can do more. Okay, yes, because my hair's so gold right now Yes, we could fix that part. He's a dedicated YouTuber. Excuse me.

You?! Excuse yourself, this is my room. He's wiping off the bleach Yeah Just so, coz now we have a good idea of what the hair looks like So then I don't wanna do more than what it needs to so we wipe it off till everything catch up - But now you can see like whatever's light that they got you, it looks really light.
- Oh. Whatever is dark, it's like orange still - It's still very yellow right?
- Mhmm So it's easier for us to see and like, so we know what to expect Coz a lot of times they will dye it and make it really light and they'll darken it and then you don't know what's underneath. - Yeah
- So if a stylist just comes in and just like bleach all of it, they don't know that, it's like really light under So that's why we put the treatment and then a weak formula over it then you can see what we're dealing with.

Hi Ivan, you're in my vlog. - Hi
- Umm, I like the Saem - The Saem for under eye too?
- Mhmm Wow, the lighting here's so great. - We should do a 'Get Ready With Me' later
- We will
- Yeah - I brought um like cleansing balms so we can do makeup together
- Oh, okay They're so detailed We're a third of the way there He's so like..He's so picky. - Right?
- Mhmm - Which is good, right?
- He's also a picky eater - Is he a picky eater?
- A little bit Oh my gosh, me too.

My mom used to call me a garbage disposal because I would eat anything. - Everything?
- Yeah, anything and everything. It's so bright now It's getting there Wow, such a pro. Look at this, that was after one.

Miles! I'm finally meeting him Hi, how are you? - And then look at Ivan's hair.
- Yeah he looks great Check out this bun. I know, isn't it everything? Miles love it. He wants a tutorial. - So, you get all the hair right?
- Right and you're gonna hold the hair longs, like, long longways and you're just gonna wrap it first the hair and what you're gonna do is, you're just gonna twist it and then
- Oh my god, you twist it.

Iconic - Iconic!
- Wrap it around and there's a hole right there, you kinda, bring it through right there Soo, we're cutting Joan's hair right now. Look at the hair. Alright Joan, how do you feel about getting your hair cut so much? Why does it sound so creepy? Oh my God. That's my narrator voice.

That's your like..Never mind can't say it. Narrator voice. So this is what I would look like with blonde hair, but we are going to color my hair now. What colors? Everything.

Everything, just kidding. Not everything. Here it is everybody. It's purple.

After many requests, I went for purple because majority of you guys wanted that. And he's curling my hair. He told me that I should be curling my hair with the lowest heat. I never did that before, I always used 230 or 460 fahrenheit so 230 celsius, 460 fahrenheit.

I always went with the 230 celsius?! Yeah, I always went with the highest. I know But then he was like "don't do that!" And I was like "okay". That's really high I know but it gets the curls done and my curls last for three days. Sorry if that grosses you out.

I don't wash my hair everyday. No, it's good. I don't wash my hair everyday. Yeah Yay, he's curling it for me too but what do you guys think? It's supposed to change after every wash so since I vlog every day, you'll see the progress.

- I'll link the information to the salon because Ivan's gonna send it to me, right?
- Yeah And you have to make an appointment if you want to come here. It's not a walk-in salon coz he's a famous hair stylist. So these are the products that I'm getting. This is the shampoo and then for conditioner I'm going to be using this.

It's tinted pink and then to treat my hair This is HIS brand, and then it's a leave-in hair reconstructor - and this is not available anywhere yet?
-Yes. - But stay tuned.
- Maybe next year. -Yeah, maybe next year.

And then this one, this one's the one you like if you want to take care of your hair, like seriously take care of it before you shampoo, just put this on. - Oh, okay.
- Leave it for a little bit,
shampoo and then use the Hyperfix - Got it.
- So those three will make it a lot better. - Okay, thank you!
- Yay Wow, this is heavy stuff. Dinner time.

You look so pretty with your hair like that Stop - Hi
- Hi I'm here with Cydnee and Karen. Hey! Annyeonghaseyo Alright guys, I'm back home now, and I realized I didn't film a closure for the vlog so I'm doing it now. Here's the shout out of the day for those of you guys who translated and transcribed my vlog. I hope you all have a Joan day, Annyeong!.

Did you wash your hands? Please don't be so harsh! Do you use the same comb
and scissors for everyone? Give me a fresh piece. Is this a different one or the same? Is this clean?
And scissors? Did you clean them? Please wash your hands once,
for me, okay? Go! Go and wash them. Do you feel I need a haircut? I'm not feeling it. I haven't cut my hair in three years.

You won't need to chop the length. -Okay, just a bit.
-Is this fine? No, no! This is a lot! Reduce it! No. No, reduce it more. More! No, it's a lot.

I'll show you! You just cut this off.
That should be enough. Please hurry up!
It's my friend's wedding. -Is it done?
-Just two more minutes. Just work on the back,
leave the front! Yes, let go! Sir, please hurry up.

I just have half an hour

TRIP TO THE SALONAshley Gosiengfiao

TRIP TO THE
Hey everyone! I've been getting a ton of requests for the past...Year? Years? I know, I'm sorry it's been so long and here it is. You guys have been asking me for a video tutorial on how I color my hair, how I maintain the color of my hair, and the health of my hair despite all the coloring. As you can see, my hair is quite hideous right now. The grays are kind of yellowish already, and my roots are around an inch or 2 inches long.

It's kind of beyond any DIY saving right now, so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take you guys with me to the salon! So I've got my dyes with me. And I haven't shampooed for a few days- Ah! My phone just fell. Anyway, so I haven't shampooed my hair for a few days now. I know, disgusting right? But that's to lessen the damage of the bleaching.

So, I'm more than ready so let's go! Okay! So my sister is with me. She will be having her hair colored as well. I wanna make it black again. I'm tired.

Yeah, you just had your hair brown for, like, a few weeks - and now she wants it back to black.
- Yeah 'cause it's so hard to maintain! - Aww!
- Like, it's already black - I don't want it anymore.
- Can you imagine mine?? I know, right? It's so hard. This is Indigo Salon. This is the salon that I've been going to for the past 3 years. So this is Ms.

Lorna, she's my stylist. - Hi!
- This is Ate Sally. We've been doing this funky colored hair thing for 3 years already. And we all started actually without knowing anything about it and then we experimented, and we grew together and now, just name any color, and we've done it already.

How about this one, Ash? What do you think? Isn't this one too black? This is the color of your regrowth. Ah, this one. Okay, let's go with this one. Hiiii! Hi, Ate Sally! Hello! So, she's bleaching my roots to get it as light blonde as possible to get it ready for the gray dye.

Bleach usually stings the scalp but I was just really lucky and blessed to have a pretty numb scalp. Man-head. Man-head! Manhid head. Ate Sally is going to put this Micro Mist on me to make the process faster.

We're going to use this for 15 minutes before rinsing the bleach out of my hair. A lot of people have been asking me what I use to dye my hair gray and this is it! It's the Wella 050 Cooling Violet Toner and what you do is you mix it with developer then apply that to light blonde hair and then you leave it for 30-45 minutes. We will be showing you guys how to do it after my roots are bleached. I got these from Rainbow Head PH.

They also have Manic Panic, Arctic Fox, Wella, Bleach London and a lot of other brands of awesome dyes. If you guys are interested, I will link you guys and the links will be in the description box down below. Around an hour has passed since Ate Sally started applying the bleach to my roots so this is how it looks now. This is how it looks like after.

It's kinda yellow. This part still has the gray dye in it. So, that's the toner. Ms.

Lorna will be mixing it with developer. And we use 2 bottles of that Wella dye. - How much developer do we need?
- Same. 1:1.

I'll open the 2nd bottle later, so it won't be exposed to the air. - Oh, so this is just one bottle?
- Yes. Ah, okay. The consistency has to be thick.

Here is the dye being applied. So, it doesn't look like anything right now but it's going to magically turn my hair silver in a while. And it's difficult to do this on yourself, because you won't be able to see the back of your head. And it has to be fast.

That's how fast my hair reacts to the dye. It looks like violet. My hair's gray now! So, we will be leaving this for around 30-45 minutes but as you can see it's already gray. This is how it turned out, and Sally put this in my hair.

It's [[TIGI Bed Head Blow-Out Golden Illuminating Shine Cream]] to make my hair softer and shinier. I am getting my hair trimmed by Ms. Lorna. So, this is the finished product! It's a little wet, still.

I'm gray-headed again! So that was it! I hope you guys enjoyed that video. If you learned something new today, or if you just had fun watching me get my hair colored and done, please give this video a thumbs up! I will be coming up with new hair tutorials soon. Please don't forget to subscribe to my channel. And I will see you guys in my next video! Thank you! Buhbye!.

Toy Hair Salon ! Toys and Dolls Fun with Rapunzel Hairstyles & Draw N Style Hair Color Markers

Toy Hair Salon
Mother Gothel: Rapunzel, Rapunzel!! Rapunzel: Yes mother Gothel, I'm here. Mother Gothel: Look what I brought you for your eighteenth birthday. Rapunzel: Oh mother Gothel its beautiful I love it. Mother Gothel: It's for you to take care of your hair, my source of eternal youth (laughs evilly) I hope this would keep you entertained and will get that silly idea of seeing the world out of your head.

Rapunzel: Oh mother Gothel I love it I love it, thank you very much. Mother Gothel: Goodbye, Rapunzel Rapunzel: Goodbye mother Gothel. Oh this is so much fun. I'll do my hair before I have a chance to
go see the world.

(Music) Storieswithdolls: Hi boys and girls, today we will be playing with these Rapunzel toys and I am so excited because I love long hair. Today we are going to create many hair styles for Rapunzel. Lets start!! First lets open the beauty salon. The back of the box tells us what we can do with this toy.

(Music) We're almost done, putting Rapunzel's beauty salon together. It comes with all kinds of fun things and accessories. These hooks over here for hanging the scissors. This brush with Rapunzel on the back.

Shampoo and conditioner which we can put here on this shelf that is decorated like Rapunzel's tower. And right here in this tower we can put this
little piece that looks like strands of Rapunzels hair, and thats exactly where we will hang
these strands of hair that we can add to Rapunzels hair. It also comes with this Pascal hair clip. Lets put it here.

Boys and girls, how exciting!! Rapunzels beauty salon is ready. Lets open the doll so we can start styling
her hair. I really like this doll because it comes with these markers and these stencils so that we can draw on her hair. Well I guess the first thing that came out
of the box is this comb, now here's the doll.

I love her transparent glittery shoes. They remind me of Cinderellas glass slippers. It comes with this barrette in the shape of
a magic flower. It also comes with two more barrettes, one with sun that is typical of Rapunzel and this one with the flower again.

It comes with this magic mirror that can be
converted into a stencil. We put it in Rapunzels hair and close it. And here we can color her hair with this marker, it comes with two more stencils that we can use and these two markers. Now for the fun part lets start making
hair styles for Rapunzel.

I'm going to take a strand of hair from here, one from here and I am going to add this barrette. And now I'm going to do the same by taking a strand of hair from here and another from here, and I'm going to add this one. Finally I am going to take a strand of hair from here and another from here and I'm going to put this barrette. Here is how the hair style turned out.

Lets call it Spring Fest. Now we are going to take two strands from
the front again. But this time thicker. I'm going to twist them, I'm going to bring them together, and I'm going to continue twisting them until they form a bun.

With this leftover hair, I'm going to clip
it to a strand of hair from down here using this barrette. Lets comb her hair...And this is her hair
style. We'll call this one...Glamour nights. How about if we do another one? This time we're going to take all the hair
in the front and we're going to add the braid.

Now lets take half of the hair that was
left over and circle the braide around it. We'll secure her hair with a sun clip,
and here it is, all done. We'll call this hair style Rapunzels
Flower and Sun. For this last one I'm going to cheat a bit,
because the set doesnt come with a rubber band but I am going to use this one.

I'm going to make a pony tail, tie it down here. Then I'm going to make a space in the middle and pass the hair through the space. And lets add the Pascal clip. We will call this one, Pascal on vacation.

And now, lets pretend to cut her hair. We connect the two flowers like this and attach it to the hair here. Now her hair is really long. We're going to cut her hair.

Oh no!! We cut Rapunzel's hair! (Laugh) Just kidding friends, we can put it back and make her hair very long. Or we can also use it to decorate her hair
with different colors. Now what do you think if we draw hearts to
match the highlights in her hair? We clip the hair, we put the magic mirror,
and, let's color! Ready! Lets see how it looks!! Oh look how nicely the heart turn out!! Now lets try the purple, oh a purple heart!! And now her hair is purple and pink! Rapunzel: (laugh) I'm having so much fun with all these things. (Laugh) Lets see what this could be.

Lets see, let leave this here. Oh it sprays water, it must be some sort of
shower head to wash my hair. (Footsteps) Huh, what was that? Flynn: Hi Rapunzel! Rapunzel: Flynn! What a surprise! Flynn: I was passing by and I said, I should visit that cute girl from the tower, ha ha but I
see today you look more beautiful than ever. Rapunzel: (laugh) Are you referring to the crazy things I am
doing to my hair? Oh yes, I was having so much fun.

Flynn: Thats good because now we can go get some ice cream. What do you think? Rapunzel:
I think that is a great idea, lets go!! Mother Gothel: Rapunzel!! Rapunzel: (gasps) Mother Gothel, oh Flynn what am I going to do? Flynn: Hit her with a pan, like you've hit me before. Rapunzel: Flynn! I can't do that! Go hide, go hide! Flynn: But where? Where? Rapunzel: I dont know, anywhere!! I'm coming mother Gothel! Go hide! Flynn: Uh uh uh, where do I hide? Where do I hide? I'll just go behind the mirror. Mother Gothel: I came to see how you're doing with the gift I gave you.

Rapunzel: Great mother Gothel, look how I did my hair. Do you like it? Mother Gothel: Youll take good care of it right? Rapunzel: Yes of course Mother Gothel: Lets see I have to make sure you have everything you need. Rapunzel: Oh, wait Mother Gothel, (laugh) Mother Gothel: Whats wrong Rapunzel? Rapunzel: (nervous laughter) Nothing, why dont you comb my hair in the kitchen instead? Yes, lets go to the kitchen. Mother Gothel: And why would we go to the kitchen if all your stuff is here? Rapunzel: (nervous stammering) it's because, it's because, because I'm a little hungry.

Why dont we have dinner instead? Mother Gothel: Dinner? But its only two!! Rapunzel: (Laughs) I'm so silly it must be because I'm so hungry. How about lunch? Can we have lunch together? Mother Gothel: Rapunzel!! If you're hungry, go to the kitchen and eat. I'm really not hungry. I'll wait here.

Rapunzel: Mother Gothel!! Mother Gothel:
Go eat girl, you need to eat well. What is going on with that girl? She's acting so weird. Flynn: Oh no!! What should I do, she's coming, she's coming over here! Mother Gothel & Flynn: (screaming) Rapunzel: Mother Gothel! Mother Gothel! Flynn: I'll take the opportunity to leave. Mother Gothel: Rapunzel, there was a man there.

I'm sure I saw him, I'm sure I saw him. Rapunzel: Mother Gothel, l dont know what you're talking about. There's nothing there, come Mother Gothel, I'll make some camomille tea to calm you. Storieswithdolls: Later.

Rapunzel: Ugh, finally she's gone and best of all I was able to convince her that there was nobody there. Flynn: So what do you say. Can we go for that ice cream now? Rapunzel: Oh Flynn I thought you left. Flynn: No, I found a better place to hide.

I'd invited you for ice cream and you said yes. Rapunzel: Oh Flynn, ok, lets go. Storieswithdolls: Boys and girls, I hope you liked these Rapunzel toys. If you enjoyed the video, dont forget to like it.

And, in the comments tell me which hair style you like best..

Tips about Japanese beauty salon.

Tips about Japanese beauty salon.
Yurya Blinchik
Russian illustrator in Japan Hi everyone! I'm Yurya Blinchik! Today I'm going to tell you about
Japanese beauty salons. I've just got my hair dyed in a Japanese salon and I took some videos inside of
the salon, let's check 'em out. The first thing you realize when
you come to a Japanese beauty salon is almost all the stylists are men. And also you might be surprised that many
stylists are working on you at the same time.

For example, today 4 stylists were doing my hair. One of them was dyeing my hair,
then another one washed it. One more stylist dried my hair,
and the next one gave me a massage. You will get the result of many stylist's work.

Today I've got a wavy hairstyle. I think all Japanese girls are dreaming of waves. That's why Japanese stylists are super
professional in making perfect curls. I really like today's hairstyle, do you? But there are some things you should know
before you visit a Japanese beauty salon.

- Could you please explain the difference
between European and Japanese hair? - European hair is very damaged as rule.
Very thin and unruly. - Japanese hair is very thick with a lot of volume. - But European hair is easy to curl. The shape of the
waves looks much better than on Japanese hair.

- I've also heard about rules in Japanese salons? Use of strong bleach is not allowed in Japan. - That's right. We can't use bleach stronger than 6% But in Europe 12% is OK. - If a Japanese girl wants to go blonde,
is It possible in Japan? - She'd have to dye her hair many
times, but It's not good for her hair.

- Is it OK to dye your hair many times in one day? - Case by case. The stylist should check her scalp,
and might ask her to come back the next day to finish. - It's really difficult to make Asian
hair blonde using weak bleach. If you are dyeing your hair in a Japanese salon,
you should buy European hair dye and bring it with you.

If your hair is very dark, using Japanese lotions you
might get a brassy yellow instead of a pure blonde. Did you know that they include
massage at Japanese beauty salons? After you have you hair rinsed, one of the
stylists will give you a head and shoulder massage. I really like it, it makes me so relaxed and happy. I also like the way the stylist washed my hair.

I'm girl so It's important for me to keep
my face make up on after washing my hair. Japanese stylists care about a girl's make up!
They washed my hair very carefully. Japanese salons use ear covers
while dyeing a client's hair so your ears will be safe from the dye. In Russia I always got my ears dyed and I had to clean
them out, but I don't have that problem in Japan at all.

I also want to say some things about Japanese stylists. They always look great! Really stylish, wearing very fashionable clothes
and high class hairstyles. They are really professional, and you can easily see It. Hope this video was useful for you.

The Hippest Korean Hair Salon + Best Products for Bleached & Damaged Hair

The Hippest Korean
Good morning everyone! Today, I have another hair video. I know I just did the video
on the Rainbow Hair, But then, I think it's two days after that, I went to go get it
professionally bleached, and now my hair has gray,
purple and pink in it. Subtitle presented by
innisfree Say goodbye to this hair color. Innisfree launches event booth
on KCON 2017 NY.

So, they covered my ears, so that none of the bleach
will get into my ears and also, it protects my earrings. Say hello to my hairdresser. She's so cute. Meet us at KCON 2017 NY
Prudential Center (June 23-24) I look like a superhero,
but she's bleaching my hair, and then, you guys will see.

Say hi to the captain. Yeah. Hello. He's the captain.

Say goodbye. Innisfree launches event booth
on KCON 2017 NY. In Korea, you get to really know
your hairdresser. So we like shared
about each other's lives and she used to be a model.

Doesn't she looked like one, though? I wanna film a video with her, so, if you are interested,
comment down below. Let's film a video together. Gosh. Gosh.

She's so cute. And she's so young, she's 21,
Korean age. In the US her age would be 20. -Is it past your birthday?
-No, not yet.

-Oh, so she's 19.
-Gosh! -Nineteen.
-No way. She's so cute. It turned out a little brighter. -But it's still reddish.
-Okay.

We need to get rid of the red color more. So, first round of bleaching done. On to part two. We're switching over.
The captain is now going to do my hair.

Meet us at KCON 2017 NY
Prudential Center (June 23-24) So excited. Meet us at KCON 2017 NY
Prudential Center (June 23-24) We're finally going to wash this off. Oh my gosh, there's puppies in here! Okay, shampoo time. Oh, I'm so excited.

Bad angle. Wash is finished. Secret. I'm so excited to see how it came out.

-You're all set.
-Thank you. Innisfree launches event booth
on KCON 2017 NY. This is a product that's going
to protect my scalp, because we're about to go into the dye. She's so cute.

She says I'm so cute. Oh man. He's using a special hair dye that is basically
going to treat my hair as well which is very important because my hair
is so damaged right now. And this hair dye
actually smells quite good.

It was at Lumio,
and if you guys go in and tell them that I referred you guys, you guys will get 30 percent off, so check the details
to find out where it is and, yeah, I highly wanna recommend them just because they're super nice people
and they're super hip. But the color looks
even greater outside so, I'm so obsessed
with my hair right now. So, thank you, Lumio. And I wanted to share
how I will start taking care of this because it is really important
to make sure you treat your hair with the proper oils
when your hair is bleached and damaged.

And, first, we have the Daddy-O shampoo
from Lush. And I actually picked this up
when I was in London, and it was much cheaper than Korea. Because Korea tends to double the price
of Lush products. And, at first,
when I shared it in the haul, a lot of you guys commented
saying that it dried out your hair, But, luckily,
that wasn't the case for me because I always follow up
with a conditioner and some kind of hair treatment.

So, I didn't have that problem yet. But this is helping me maintain
the color of my hair. A lot of you guys might think
that my hair color hasn't changed too much but it definitely has balanced because before,
my roots were very black and dark, but then, now, it's kinda even and the hair dresser did say that through every wash,
the color will start changing so, I'm very excited to see
how it will turn out. But the Daddy-O shampoo is the only
purple shampoo I could find in Korea, but then since I am going to America soon I think I'm gonna pick up a bigger bottle
of another brand of purple shampoo, so if you wanna recommend any,
comment down below because I will be on the search
for that purple shampoo.

For conditioner,
I have the Lush Hair Conditioner. And this is also from the Daddy-O line, and I received this as a gift
from a subscriber from Korea, so thank you so much, because I am obsessed
with how soft it makes my hair feel. And for those of you guys who use
a shampoo or conditioner bars, can you please, like, give me tips
on how to take care of it? Or like how you store it? Because I feel like every time
that water gets on it, it gets really mushy
at the very bottom, so, I would love some tips on that, but, yes,
I've been loving the hair conditioner because this also helps with the color and it definitely makes my hair
feel smooth. On days when you don't
wanna wash your hair, I highly wanna recommend
the Bumble and Bumble dry shampoo.

This is in powder form. And, I feel like this might gross you out, but I really don't wash my hair everyday, it's usually every other day or sometimes I could go three
or four days without washing my hair. My brother absolutely hates it, but honestly my hair doesn't
really get oily, so, I don't know why he's complaining. But yes, this is definitely a product
that really helps control the shine and I'm basically shampooing my hair
every morning using this.

So this powder, I fell in love. I prefer it more than sprays just because I feel like the powder lasts And the... It controls the shine better. I have two hair oils
that I wanna rave about.

And I feel like you guys already know. But, first, we have the Lucido-L
Triple Beauty Vitamin Oil, and this was first introduced to me
from Sunnydahye, and I fell in love and I needed more. So, when I went to Malaysia,
I was looking around for it, couldn't find it. But, luckily, I received about ten
of these hair oils when I was in Malaysia, so thanks to all of you guys
who brought me one I absolutely love how affordable
this hair oil is and the quality of the product.

It definitely makes my hair
feels very smooth and soft, and even though my hair is bleached
and damaged, every time I brushed through it,
it doesn't feel like damaged hair. But if you wanna spend
ten times the price, because I think
this is about three dollars, I do wanna recommend Ouai's...
Ouia? Ouia's hair oil. Compared to the vitamin oil,
it is a lot smoother in my opinion, and there's a lovely scent to it. It makes your hair smell like flowers.

And, when I was at the Lohacell event, the makeup artist and the hair stylist, she was basically complementing
the smell of my hair and I knew it was this product only because the dry shampoo
has no scent to it. So, I told her about it,
and she was, like, obsessed because I promise you, you don't even
need a perfume when you use this just because the smell lingers
and usually, when you spray perfume, I heard that if you spray it on your hair
it'll last longer. Well, this is gonna play the perfume
and the hair oil part and it'll make your hair feel super smooth. So, depending on what your budget is
for a hair oil, I wanna recommend these two.

And finally, if you're like me and you love to use hot tools
to whether straighten or curl your hair, it's very important
to use a heat protectant. And one of my favorites is this one
from Bumble and Bumble. This is the Hair Dresser's Invisible Oil, and I just love
how lightweight this feels and it doesn't make your hair feel sticky. Actually, the hair oils as well, it doesn't make your hair looking greasy
and oily, I forgot to mention, but yeah, I love this heat protectant and it's one of my favorites,
I've actually bought the bigger version.

That's it for today's video, I hope you guys enjoy the short vlog of me
going to the hair salon, as well as recommendations of products
I'll be using to protect my hair because it's very important
to take care of it now, otherwise, I'm gonna have to cut
all of it off in the future. So, I hope that this video was helpful. If you have any products
you wanna recommend, comment down below
as well as let me know how you feel about these products because I love it when
the comment sections becomes a place where everyone starts sharing
their reviews and opinions on the products because not everyone might like
the products I just mentioned now. So, let's make the comment section a helpful place for everybody
looking for products.

All right,
I'll see you guys in my next video. Goodbye! Subtitle presented by
innisfree.

Speaking English - Going to the hairdresser

Speaking English - Going to the hairdresser
Hi, my name is Emma and today's lesson is a fun lesson on going to the hairdresser's. So, as you've seen in some of my videos if you watch my videos, I have had different haircuts. That's what we're going to be focusing on today. What do you say when you want to change your hair? Okay? So, the first thing I want to teach you is the difference between a barber and a hairdresser, and a barbershop and a hair salon.

Okay? So, notice I've written "barber" and "barbershop" in blue. Why do you think I did that? Well, it's because boys and men go to the barber, who is the person who cuts the hair, and the barber works at the barbershop. So the barbershop is the place and the barber is the person. They deal with men only -- boys and men only, so no women.

Now, I've written this one in red because I didn't have a pink marker. But we also have hairdressers, so these are people. Where do hairdressers work? At hair salons. Okay, so with hairdressers, unlike with barbers, hairdressers work with both men and women.

So they work with both at the hair salon. Okay? So now let's look at some common phrases we may use when we go to the hair salon. If I want to get my hair changed I may say, "I would like to get", or I could say, "I would like to have", so you have a choice. They're both equal.

"I would like to have a cut." Okay? This means they just cut your hair. "I would like to have a wash and cut." This means they wash your hair first, and then they cut it. "I would like to get a wash, cut, and dry". In this case, they wash your hair, they cut it, and then they blow-dry it, and maybe they style it a bit.

I can also say, "I would like to get a trim". So, what is a trim? A trim is a very little cut. So my hair is getting kind of long. I want it maybe to about here.

I'm going to get a trim. How much should I get cut off? Maybe I'll say, "I'd like two inches off." So that's a trim, two inches. Okay? Finally, another expression that you may need, "I would like to get a perm." So what's a perm? A perm stands for permanent, and permanent means something that doesn't change. So maybe I have very straight hair, and I don't like straight hair.

Maybe I like curly hair. So I may get a perm, so my hair is always curly. Or, maybe I get a perm so my hair is always straight. So they use chemicals to change your hair so it's either curly or straight.

So that's a perm. Now one thing I'd like to draw your attention to is, first of all, this is very polite to say, which is good. "I would like", I can also say - I'll write it here - "I'd like". So both of these are correct.

"I would like", "I'd like", "to get", "to have", and what do these five things have in common? They all need an article, because these - a cut is a noun, a wash and cut, a wash, cut, and dry, a trim, a perm. Okay? So they need articles. One other thing I should mention about perms, I said they're permanent, but when we talk about perms they don't last forever. So if you get one perm it's not going to last you the rest of your life.

It may last you two months, one month, three months. So even though we say "permanent" it's not forever. It's actually for kind of a short time, just longer than a lot of other hair treatments. Okay.

So, now we have another phrase. "I'd", which stands for "I would", so again, you have that choice. "I'd like to get my hair...", Okay, so notice, before we had "I'd like to get a cut." Now we're saying "I'd like to get my hair cut." So this is another option. You can say, "I'd like to get a cut.", "I'd like to get my hair cut." Two different ways to say the same thing.

"I'd like to get my hair colored." So maybe I want to change the color of my hair. I'd go to the hairdresser and say, "I'd like to get my hair colored". "I'd like to get my hair bleached." So, what is bleached? Well, I have sort of brownish blonde hair. Say if I want my hair to be very, very, very blonde, so very light blonde, that's bleaching your hair.

So it's when your hair goes a lot lighter. So I could say, "I'd like to get my hair bleached." I could also say, "I'd like to get my hair dyed." Colored and dyed are very similar things. They both mean you want to change your hair color. So I could say, "I'd like to get my hair dyed pink." Do you guys think this would be a good idea? Or, "I'd like to get my hair dyed black." Okay, we've looked at perm already, but we can add '-ed', because now we're talking about an adjective.

"I'd like to get my hair permed". Again, I have straight hair. I want my hair curly. I could ask, "I'd like to get my hair permed." "Streaked", "I'd like to get my hair streaked." What does that mean? Well, here is hair, and maybe I like my hair color, but I also want some stripes in it.

So I might actually get black streaks. So, some of my hair now is blonde, and some of my hair is now black. Or I might get blonde streaks, which is just slightly lighter than the hair color I have on brown hair. Okay, so "streaks" is kind of like "stripes", where you have more than one color in your hair.

Okay? I could also say, "I'd like to get my hair styled." Okay? So, maybe I'm in high school. It's prom, the big dance, and I want my hair to get styled. Maybe I want the hairdresser to make it curly, but not permanent. I don't want it to stay curly for the next month.

I just want it curly tonight. I could get my hair styled. Okay? The next word, "straightened", my hair actually is curly and I straighten it, meaning it goes from curly to straight. So I could say, "I'd like to get my hair straightened.", "I'd like to get my hair curled.", Which is the opposite, and finally, "I'd like to get my hair layered." So, I don't know if you know who Jennifer Aniston is, but back in the 90s her hair was layered.

It's a very famous haircut, where her hair had multiple levels. So, it wasn't straight across. There was some hair that was cut to here, some of it lower, some of it lower, and some of it lower. So those are layers.

So what do all of these words have in common? If we say, "I'd like to get my hair...", Except for "cut", these other ones, they all have '-ed'. So, make a note about that. So, I'd like to introduce you to my friend, Mary. This is Mary.

Right now she has no hair. So, we're going to give her some different hair styles, and also teach you some of this vocabulary. The first hair style I'd like to put on Mary is an updo. It's a small "u".

Again, Mary can say, "I'd like an updo". So what am I going to do? Well, I'm going to put her hair up. So maybe, in some sort of beautiful way, there. So there are different types of updos.

Okay? Maybe I could have... I don't know what hairstyle that is. I've just created it. You can call this "the Emma", but it's an updo.

So, an updo is when your hair goes up. It's not down. It's not relaxed. Usually they have to spray a lot of hairspray in your hair to keep it this way.

So anytime your hair is up... Usually we do this for weddings, you get an updo, for prom, for any type of formal event you may get an updo. So now what should we give to Mary? Maybe we should give her some braids. I'm just going to erase what we currently have.

So, I hope those of you watching can make out what these are. I've given her two braids. But braids are when you take a bunch of hair and you separate it into three different parts, and you weave it together. So some people have just one braid.

Maybe like, if you've seen the movie "Tomb Raider" with Angelina Jolie, as Lara Croft, she has one braid in the back. Some people have many, many, many braids. Other times you get people like, there's a book called "Heidi". She has two braids.

So these are braids. Sometimes we have very nice braids, where it's just one and it's in the back, and we call that a French braid. So these are different types of braids. Okay, so now let's give Mary some pigtails.

Mary may be a little bit old for pigtails. Usually we give children pigtails. My little niece wears pigtails all the time. But Mary, for some reason, she says, "I'd like pigtails." Okay.

So pigtails is when you have two ponytails, which we'll get to in a second. So these are pigtails. Now Mary wants a ponytail. Okay, so there's Mary's ponytail.

I've done it to the side of the head. Ponytails are often just to the back. Unfortunately, I have quite short hair, so I don't know how well you can see that, but that would be a ponytail. Just as a reminder, an updo, so she can say, "I'd like an updo".

She could have braids, so no article there. No article for pigtails. But here we have "a ponytail". So what other styles can we do to Mary?  Well, what about dreads? So, dreads are similar to what - well, they are what Bob Marley had.

I don't know if you guys listen to reggae, but Bob Marley was a famous reggae musician. It's pretty much when your hair -- how do I explain this? It's not soft like this. It becomes kind of rough. Just think Bob Marley.

Or if you know what a Rastafarian is, Rastafarian hair. So these would all be dark. If you think of Jamaica, there are a lot of Jamaicans who have dreads. So, there's Mary with her dreads.

Uh-oh. So now Mary wants to become different. She doesn't want to live a normal life anymore. She's decided she wants to go against the system.

So what does Mary do? She shaves her head. So we get rid of all her hair. She no longer has dreads. So, there's Mary with a shaved head.

So, no more hair, she's shaved it all off. But I don't know. I don't think Mary's going to get a lot of dates this way. So what can we do to fix it? Well maybe she grows back her hair, and maybe she has a very hot date.

I don't know how all this looks, but... So we decide to give her a bun. So what's a bun? A bun is usually seen at the back of the hair, and it's kind of like a circle. When you put your hair tightly in a circle at the back.

So in a lot of traditional Asian haircuts you would see a bun. Now Mary wants to add something to the bun. She likes the bun, but she wants something more. So maybe she leaves out a little bit of hair, and she curls it a little bit.

These are called ringlets. So Mary has a bun with ringlets. Now Mary decides her hair is too short. She wants long hair.

Her hair is too short; maybe this is how long her hair is. So what does she do? She gets hair extensions. So this makes her hair longer. So this part of her hair is not real; it's been woven into the short hair she has.

So hair extensions makes her hair longer. So, here are some other words we can use when we're talking about Mary. Maybe Mary wants to shorten her bangs. So maybe these are her bangs, so it's the part of your hair on your forehead.

I don't have bangs, but Mary has bangs, and maybe she wants to get them cut. She could ask the hairstylist, in this case me, "Could you cut my bangs?" There, I've cut her bangs. I've trimmed her bangs. Another thing Mary might ask me is maybe, and I don't know if you can see this, maybe this is her part.

The part is where your hair splits into two sides. So here's Mary's part. But maybe she doesn't like her part where it is, so she can also have the hairdresser style her hair so her part is somewhere else. A final thing we may talk about when we're talking about Mary's hair is ends.

So, what are ends? Ends are the tip of your hair. So maybe Mary asks me to trim her ends. She could say, "Could you please trim my ends?" Or "A little bit more off the ends.", Is something common we might say. Meaning, I trimmed her hair.

She wants more off. Take a little bit more off the ends. So now let's look at some common hair problems. When you go to the hairdresser, maybe you want to ask for some advice.

You have some sort of problem with your hair. So what are some of these problems people might ask advice for? Well, someone might say, "I have dandruff." So, what's dandruff? Dandruff is the little white spots that sometimes cover people's hair. So if you have black hair it can be really bad, because you have a lot of white spots. So, dandruff usually is because maybe your head is dry.

So you might tell the hairdresser, "I have dandruff." You might also tell the hairdresser, and they'll probably notice but you might say, "I have split ends." So what are split ends? Well, if this is your piece of hair and this is healthy piece of hair, a split end is when this piece breaks into multiple pieces, so many pieces. So maybe this hair breaks into this piece, this piece, this piece, this piece. What does this cause? It makes your hair frizzy. So you have lots of little pieces of hair going every which way, all different directions.

So these are split ends. So these are two problems. Some other problems you may have - you might say, "My hair is oily." So what does that mean? If your hair is oily, it's kind of wet, kind of greasy looking, and usually with oily hair your hair looks shiny, but not in a healthy way,  in a greasy way. So this isn't a good thing.

The opposite of when your hair is oily is your hair could be dry. So if your hair is dry, it often has split ends. It's not shiny. It's pretty dull, and it looks like you need moisture or conditioner.

If your hair is dry you need more conditioner. Another common problem is some people... Their hair looks like this. It's flat.

But what they want their hair to look like is this. So they want volume. They want their hair to be bigger, but their hair is very flat. So flat is a problem a lot of people have.

They want volume - and I'll spell volume. So, volume is a good thing. Okay, so how would you ask the hairdresser for advice? Well, if I had any of these problems and I want the hairdresser to help me I may say, "What product", so by product I mean what shampoo, what conditioner, what hairspray,
what product "would you recommend..." And I can say "for"...
"What product would you recommend for dandruff?" Recommend for split ends"? "What product would you recommend for oily hair?" "...For dry hair?" Hopefully, my hairdresser, because he or she is the expert, will be able to give good advice on how I can get rid of these problems.

Okay, so I hope you've enjoyed our video on going to the hairdresser. If you have any questions or comments, even if you have comments on what I can do for my hair - I'm thinking of getting a cut, but I'm not sure yet - write on the comment board at www.Engvid.Com. Seungjae, welcome to SuaXSeola''s beauty Salon[The Return of Superman2018.03.11]

Seungjae, welcome to
(Sian and Seungjae return home.) - They're here. / - Shall we open it? (The sisters have been waiting for Seungjae.) - They're here. / - Come in. Hurry.

- Let's go. / - Seungjae. Let's go in. - Seungjae, come.

/ - Seungjae! - Let's go inside. / - Seungjae. - Say hi. / - Hello, Seungjae.

Let's go inside. Seungjae. - Seungjae. / - Let me help you.

All right. Put your bag down. (I'm here too.) Sian, they forgot about you. Seola.

Sua. You're only helping Seungjae. You won't help Sian? Si... It's because it's our first time meeting him.

Seungjae, can you open this? Seungjae, where do we put this? - Isn't this a skirt? / - Is this a hairband? (My gosh, I'm so lonely.) Seungjae, what's in your bag? Girls, you're too aggressive toward him. You might scare him a bit. - Seungjae. / - Yes? (Aggressive ladies) Why does your voice sound like that? My voice changed.

- How old are you? / - I'm five. - We are... / - Sian is five too. I'm six.

You should treat me like an older sister. No, he can just call you by your name. I'll make you guys pizza. Why don't the four of you play together? Okay! Seungjae.

(They head to the playroom.) Seungjae, it's here. Look. (They are trying to take something out.) Seungjae, why don't you wear this? - Let's put this on you. / - Do you want to wear it? - Do you want to wear it? / - Do you want to wear it? - Stand up.

/ - You can wear this now. (They're dressing Seungjae in a dress?) No, not that. I'll be a girl, then. (It's better to get away now.) - Seungjae.

/ - Yes? You need to dress up like me to look pretty. Try this. Here. Why don't you wear this pretty dress? - You'll be a princess.

/ - I don't want to be one. Put this on. This will look so cool on you. Let's put this on now.

- Try this on. / - Wear this. (Seungjae is busy trying to get away.) What should we do? He doesn't want to wear it. (She changes her target.) - Sian, come here.

/ - Yes? - Wear this just once. / - Wear this. - Seungjae... / - He can't wear this.

Sian, you should help him.  Magic, magic   Turn her into a pretty girl, ta-da  (Sian is their easiest prey.) - Let me see. / - Do I look like a girl? Not at all. You look like a man.

So cool! Here's Sian's arm. - Here. Isn't he cool? / - Here you go. Sian must've gained weight.

My gosh, he must've gained weight. (Are you all right, my friend?) He looks like this because he gained weight. He gained weight. This is what he looks like after gaining weight.

Do you want to dress up like Sian? Seungjae, can you do it? Seungjae, do you want to wear one too? You should take this off too. (She's unstoppable.) Let's wear that too. That... (Sorry that I can't protect you, my friend.) Seungjae, give me your arm.

You look so handsome. (Seungjae looks elegant in a dress.) You look so handsome. (Something is missing.) Let me go with you, Sua. (The sisters rush somewhere.) (Feeling awkward and embarrassed) Seungjae, how do I look? You look pretty.

You look very pretty too. (The sisters, who are running, scare him.) (Hey, guys!) (I have a bad feeling about this.) (Aren't those cosmetics?) Look. This is so cool. - What is it? / - Let me try this.

Do you want to wear one? (They are about done dolling him up.) Say, "Mama". "Mama." (He doesn't have the power to resist anymore.) (Sian is already wearing makeup.) - Let's go. / - Run! - Run. / - Guys, hold on.

(They run along the hallway.) Dad. Dad. (Looking pretty) What happened? Come here. Let me look.

Stand over there. One... Seungjae, look at the camera. One, two, three.

I'm Sophia. Seungjae, welcome to the world of having sisters. I'm Sophia. Seungjae, Sian is like this every day.

This is a special experience for you since you don't have any sisters. (This time, it's Sian.) Dad, look at Sian. (He laughs at the sight of Sian.) (The two princesses finished the show.) Take a seat. I'm going to sit beside Seungjae.

Let's see who will sit nicely. (Shall I show off my skills?) (These are the tortillas the children bought.) On top of the tortillas the kids bought, Donggook adds bell peppers and various toppings to make pizza. (He's adding a lot of cheese.) (After a moment in the oven...) It's easier than I thought. I should try making it for my kids soon.

(Pizza bowl is ready!) These are popular these days. (Exclaiming) It's food. Look. Who will eat the biggest one? Me! There are strawberries too.

- There is corn too. / - Yes. - Thank you for the food. / - Thank you for the food.

Thank you, Dad! (Opening) Look at Seungjae. (The kids love it.) Seungjae. It might be burnt. (She's so good at eating.) Let's see.

(She's taking it up a notch.) The twins are amazing at eating, right? Guys. Seungjae. How was it like playing with Sian? - I had fun. / - Was it good? I liked going to the washroom with Seungjae.

Did you go to the washroom together? That's how your friendship blossomed. I helped him when he had to pee. I see. I helped Sian when he had to poo.

When Seungjae had to pee, I helped him. (They're suddenly competing over helping.) Really? Men get close when they go to the sauna together. You guys went to the washroom together. Seungjae, what did you enjoy the most today? - Kanttappia.

/ - Kanttappia. (Flinching) Douner is here, isn't she? (Guilty) - Where is she? / - Douner? Douner isn't here. Look around carefully. Who is it? (Playing innocent) (Where is Douner?) You don't have to look far.

(I think he found her.) (Do not look at me.) No. It's not me. - She looks like Douner! / - No. - You look like Douner.

/ - I said no. - You look like Douner. / - No. Seola, when you were little...

(Don't try to deny.) (They're identical!) (The four kids are playing after dinner.) Someone's here! It's Seungjae's dad! Seungjae, someone's here. Is it your dad? I'll open it! - Hello. What is this? / - It's Seungjae's dad. What are you doing? (His son turned into a princess.) Hello.

(The dads are meeting for the first time.) Thank you for coming all this way. - Here's a present for you. / - Thank you. - You must be tired.

/ - No, no. Sian. - Say hello. / - Sian...

Dad, I don't want to go home! You don't want to go? Then what do I do? I came to pick you up. Come and sit down. You must be tired. You don't have to tell me.

The girls dressed Seungjae up. (My love, Sophia) They're so cute. Dad, I want to visit Seungjae's house. - We can go later.

/ - Yes, come over. We can go when we have time. There was so much traffic. I'm sorry.

Seungjae is mature. He listens well. Sian was the one being childish today. (Loud) I'm sure he had a great time.

(Laughing) While raising Seungjae, I realized he must be lonely. He loves visiting homes with many children. Also, if his friends are coming over, he would be waiting very desperately. He wants to play and run around.

- Run away! / - Run away! (Like this!) Why are you running so much? Let's go so the dads can rest. - Come visit us. / - They have to go. We have to go.

Mom is waiting. Seungjae has to leave. - Let's give him a hug. / - Let's meet soon.

Seungjae. (Falling) (It's an aggressive goodbye hug.) See you soon. No, no. There are too many of you.

There are too many. I said, there are too many. Seungjae, did you have fun with Uncle Donggook? Yes. - Sian, come visit us.

/ - Okay. Come when your dad is too busy. - Okay. / - Bye! Pee.

Pee. He has to pee. - We got this. / - Sian, help him.

Over here. (The kids are helping Seungjae.) No, here. (They're showing Seungjae the toilet.) What are you guys doing? Girls, come out here. - No.

/ - Why not? I want to help him. No, he's a boy. (They're overly nice.) - Done. / - Not yet.

(They're watching until the end.) - Done. / - Wobble, wobble. (Leave the rest to me!) Sua, do you know how to do it? Then we have to wash it and use soap too. Sua looks like she's used to cleaning up.

She's a big sister after all. (Put it back in place, and it's all good to go!) Let's go. Shall we do our handshake again? - Slap, slap, boom. / - Slap, slap, boom.

(This is the way men greet each other.) Bye. - Bye. / - Bye. Bye!.

Salon OwnerStarting & owning a salon businessPart 4Khan Academy

Salon OwnerStarting &
If you would've asked me five years ago, do you see yourself owning a salon? I would've said no, 100%. I never wanted to open a salon, even 2 1/2 years ago. If you would've asked me a month before I decided that this was what I was going to do, I would've told you you were crazy, I would never open a salon. My business partner and I created this concept of a membership-based hair salon.

So essentially, where you would normally come into a salon and you would come in and get your hair cut or your hair colored and just pay whatever the cost of that individual service was, we decided that...Well, we figured out that there's a better way that that could be handled. And we created the membership model. So essentially, what our clients can do is, they pay a monthly fee, based on whichever membership level that they're in, and then get unlimited services within that membership level. So we've got one for unlimited blowouts, which blowouts have been all the rage in our industry for the last couple years.

There's one that includes color, haircuts and blowouts, and then we have a men's membership, which is unlimited men's cuts. And what that's done is, it's really changed the salon culture. So our clients can come in as often as they like. It's created a more dynamic relationship between our clients and our salon staff, which is really incredible to see.

And then, it's a new model, so we're testing something that hasn't been done before, and it's been wildly successful. So about a year before I opened my salon, which is called Society, there was this new phenomenon in the industry, and it was blowouts. Obviously, well maybe not so obviously, but people have been getting blowouts for a very long time, but the birth of a new company dramatically changed our industry. You would go in, they did nothing other than blowouts.

So you'd go in, get your hair blown out and then leave. So as soon as they opened, within a couple months, we started to see a really dramatic shift in our business. We saw a lot of our clients not coming in, our numbers were dropping, which means sales were dropping. And for an individual stylist, that was damaging to our income, which is never a really fun realization.

So I came up with a couple ideas of different things that I thought we could do to counteract what was happening and keep our clients in our business. Ultimately, I tried to pitch them to my manager, and it just wasn't a good fit for that salon. It was a little painful for me and some of the other stylists to swallow because a substantial portion of our income was gone. And there was really not much that we could do to get that back.

We had to figure out a new way to earn it, and the new ways we were coming up with just weren't gonna work where we were. So I was talking to a really good friend of mine who is my business partner. We just started going, and I was pitching her some ideas, and we were just going back and forth. And ultimately, we came up with what is now Society and decided that we should move forward on figuring out how to start something new, something that, obviously, the industry was changing, so what could we do to not fall behind on some of these changes that were happening and be on the forefront of it instead of constantly trying to play catch up.

So that was kind of how the birth of our membership started. Then from that point on, my mind was completely and utterly dedicated to figuring out how to bring all of this into fruition. At that point, I knew absolutely nothing about running a business or starting a business or anything related to business other than showing up at work, doing my clients and collecting a paycheck. So for me, it was a lot of new learning, but luckily, I do love to read, and I love to learn new things, so Google was my best friend.

I Googled absolutely everything endlessly, absorbed anything I could read about opening a new business, whether it was a hair salon or not, just figuring out what that entailed. The next step was putting together a business plan, because everything that I had read was put together a business plan. So I slaved over this thing for about seven months, looked at 100 different formats of what it should be like, what it should look like. Again, I didn't go to college for this, so I'm literally getting everything off Google.

And anyone who's searched anything on Google, there are a million contradictions to everything you read. So I put together what I thought was a brilliant business plan, and encompassed everything I had read and had a little bit from here, a little bit from there. I was like cool. Now, what do I do with this? I have this.

Why don't I have a business yet? The next step was raising capital, and finding somebody to, essentially, fund the process of building the business. And I didn't know what to do. I didn't know where to start with that. I didn't know what that looked like.

So I started doing research on that, and then I got really lucky, actually, which I think luck has a little bit to do with it. So I was at work, and I was cutting one of my client's hair that I had been cutting for a very long time. We always connected over fishing and camping and hiking. And literally, this was the day after I.

Finished my business plan. And he was like, "Hey, I never actually asked you "if this is what you wanna do for the rest "of your life." And I was like, "What do you mean?" And he's like, "Just work here and cut hair. "That's awesome, but I never asked you." And I was like, "That's so funny that you asked me." I was like, "Actually, I thought that was the case, "but I came up with this new business model, "and I want to start my own business." And he was like, "Oh, what does that look like?" And I gave him the details of our membership business and, essentially, what that would look like. And he was like, "Oh, you should come and sit down with me." And I was like, "Why would I do that?" And he was like, "Did we never talk about what "I do for a living?" And I was like, "No." And he was like, "Oh, I own a venture capital firm." And I was like, "I know that that means that you "invest money in businesses, but isn't that more "for like tech startups and everything in Silicon Valley?" And he was like, "No, no, we'll sit down, and we'll talk." He gave me his personal phone number and was like, "Call me, and we'll get together." So I went home, and I was ecstatic, because this just fell into my lap, and it was the most incredible thing ever.

So I went home. I scheduled a meeting with him, went through a bunch of bumps along the path leading up to finally opening, but ultimately, was able to raise the funds that we needed in order to open this location. For our individual location, what I learned along the process was that I was so far off, and luckily far off, in terms of what I thought it would cost us to open the business. When I was calculating it out, I was calculating as if we were gonna build from nothing.

So buying a piece of land, building a business, and you know, the ground up is how much I could've encompassed with my original budget. But we were very fortunate to find a location that was previously a salon, which is a huge game-changer if anyone is looking to open your own salon business, I would definitely suggest if that is at all a possibility for you, to definitely find a location that was. So we did. We found a location that was previously a salon, which cut our budget by more than in half.

And then I'm also very lucky to have a father who is a contractor and a builder by trade. So once we got the location, the budget that we, ultimately, wound up getting was far less than I had originally anticipated. So what I had hoped to get and what I actually got was dramatically different, but it was enough. And that's all I really needed.

So we worked within the budget that we were given to make this happen. My dad and I slaved over this place for 29 days straight, 18 hour days building, because as anyone who's ever lived in Los Angeles, rent on anything is wildly expensive, and our landlord, unfortunately, didn't give us any leeway in terms of when the rent would start. We had one month of rent, essentially rent free. And we were like, okay, then we need to start earning income in a month.

So from the time we signed the lease, from the time I got funding to the time that I signed the lease was about a week, so I had a week to finalize and figure out everything. And then from the time we signed the lease to the day that we officially opened and were having our press launch party was 29 days. And we had to completely gut this entire salon and rebuild it from the ground up. Working on a budget, we didn't have the budget to bring in a team to do this, so it was literally just my dad and I without a single other person for 29 days straight, no breaks, 18-hour days, every single day.

I thought I was going to die at the end of it. But, hands down, the best experience of my life. Typically, I would say that salon owners are either making next to nothing, because they're putting everything they have back into the business to keep it open, or they're doing really well. And we're on the growth up, which is really great for us.

For us, our focus is on making our business really profitable, keeping the money inside of the business so that as soon as we're ready, we can take everything that we've earned and open new locations. We will have to repay a portion of the funding that we initially received to start the business. And I'm very confident that that won't be an issue, which also feels really good. And the reason I'm confident about that is because we've been very systematic and strategic in terms of saving and creating a business and growing this business to a very sustainable point.

My job as the owner encompasses anything from training new staff, hiring new staff, creating the schedules, running the business day in and day out, creating the marketing plans, which is figuring out new strategies that's gonna work for the business, whether it's finding a new billboard or sending out digital marketing campaigns, whether it's through social media or different kinds of ads and then raising capital. When we first opened, in terms of raising the funds that we needed to get open and then continuously looking for ways that we can expand. Often, my goal is to bring new business into the salon. In Los Angeles, it's a really competitive market, where everyone's competing for the same client's attention.

So what we'll do is, we'll come up with a creative concept, whether it's in particularly a photo shoot, and use the images from the shoot to send out either through social media campaigns or email marketing campaigns. In the past, we've actually used the images for billboard campaigns around the city, which has been really incredible. So in terms of getting that project executed, I pretty much do start to finish. So it's everything from deciding what The creative side of its gonna be What do we want the end result to actually look like? And then finding the photographer.

Finding the models, organizing the team, getting our team together in terms of who wants to actually work on that particular project. And then model hunting, vetting models, seeing which one's gonna be the best fit for the actual shoot. And then, obviously, day of and being here, doing the hair, getting the creative looking exactly the way we want it to. So knowing exactly what that image needs to look like for how we're gonna send it out.

And then getting that image done. Everything after that, from into post, which is gonna be editing the images and then sending them out through whatever channels we're gonna use, whether that's the billboard, email marketing or social media marketing. In order to figure out whether the billboard or individual marketing channel that we chose was successful, we have to do one of two things. For the billboard in particularly, we will ask every client who calls in where they heard about us from, and the majority of the time, we get pretty good feedback on that.

Sometimes people are a little bit off. But most the time, people will be like, "Oh my God, I saw that billboard of you guys "over on Sunset Boulevard." And we'll track it that way. We have a system in our computer that can keep track of that. And then if it's something that it's more digital, whether it's social media or email marketing, we have built-in systems in place, whether it's through a company like MailChimp or Constant Contact that's gonna track those conversions for us.

Our whole process for bringing in new business is very strategic. And everything needs to be tracked. Everything needs to be accounted for. I wanna make sure that I'm focusing my energy in the right place all the time, because I tend to be doing a little bit everywhere.

So it's really important for me to make sure that I'm focusing my energy on the right thing that's working for us. So being able to track those conversions and strategically see what's working and what's not allows me to pick what's working best and move forward in that direction and not work with things that haven't performed well for us in the past. My worst day on the job was actually really terrible. When we first opened Society, one of the things that we needed to do in Los Angeles was to get a publicist, a PR agent.

I, again, was really lucky to have a really good friend who referred me to her best friend, who is an incredible publicist. So we started working with her right away. Over the first year of our relationship, she quickly became one of my dearest friends. Worst day on the job was that she, unfortunately, passed away while we were working.

And that was really, really difficult. She was my teammate, even though she was not my business partner, she was my teammate through every single aspect of the business. And that was really difficult. I attribute so much of our initial success to Courtney and the work that she did.

So when she passed away, it was difficult on every level. Obviously, on a personal level, I was shattered. But on a business level, I felt like I had really lost a leg of our tripod. She did so much to make sure that we were wildly successful, and it was hard to come back from that, because that was a side of the job that I had never learned how to do or had any desire, necessarily, to learn how to do.

And so much of that is connections. So even if I wanted to learn that side of the business, it was just so much more than I could possibly take on. And I didn't know how to replace it either, because she was so good at her job. And because we had such a great relationship, the work that she did and the quality of the work that she did and what she was delivering for us and what we were giving back was just a relationship and a situation that could not ever be duplicated.

And that was really difficult to have to come back and figure out how to balance after her passing. And we only recently have been able to kind of figure out a new path to get down that is different than what she was doing but trying to get us back on that same path. So the best day on my job actually just happened really recently. I'm very proud of the team and the culture that exists within this location.

I think the team that has been built here and that come and show up here every day are working to create this vision and this company that we all love is, I would die for them. I love every single one of them so much. So the best day on the job was a day recently where a really good friend of mine who I went to hair school with, the salon that she was at was closing down, and a small group of four incredible women decided to come over and join our team. And the first day of having them join the existing team and just seeing how well everyone worked together and how happy everybody was, it was incredible.

Everyone was coming up to me all day long and was just telling me how much they loved the energy and how it was that little step that everyone needed to feel like we were continuously moving up at the perfect time. And it was incredible. It was bliss. As an owner, again, I don't think that you're very limited at all.

I think the only limits you're gonna face are whatever limits you impose on yourself. So you can open one business, and you can decide that that makes you really happy, and you just wanna keep that business running successfully for the next 40 years. And I think that's beautiful. Or you can decide to turn that one salon into a big corporation and multi-location salon business.

You can open up a chain of salons, which you're gonna get into franchising then. You could be a single salon owner, start a product line, and then wind up going down that path of getting into retail. And then that could transcend back into owning a multi-location salon. You can also become a spokesperson as a salon owner.

And everything you could do as a stylist, assuming you also have your cosmetology license, you could do as an owner and do the same simultaneously. It's just gonna depend, again, on what makes you happy and what kind of workload you're looking for and what drives you..

Salon Name Ideas - 6 Tips on how to choose a name for your salon

Salon Name Ideas - 6 Tips on how to choose a name for your salon
Hey it's Dustin from dustinnccorchuk.Com and in this video I'm going to give you six tips on how to choose the perfect name for your salon to stick with me. I'm sure driving across town you've seen many different salon names in the last several years so are classy and some of them are just downright awful and I want to help you pick one that'll be great for your salon. Choosing the right name for your salon is really important because it's the foundation of your salon branding and your branding is really important to get new clients. So let's get into the six tips for picking the right name for your salon.

Tip number one, like Stephen Covey says begin with the end in mind. Envision your salon five years from now. What are you going to look like? Where are you going to be located? How many employees are you going to have? What product line are you going to be using? Then get out a pad of paper and write down one word adjective that will describe your salon as you see it in five years. These adjectives will help guide you choosing the right name for your salon.

Tip number two pick up salon name is gonna stand out your city. Write down a list of all the current salon names that are in your city and see if anything stands out. Is there anything that similar within those salon? Oftentimes cities will take on their own culture and salon names will kind of fit that culture. If all the salon names in your city are named after street maybe you want something that's a little more creative.

It's important to be slightly different than the rest of the salons in your city so that you stand out and that you're memorable in people's mind. Step number three consider your target audience. If your salon is all about serving 20 and 30 year-old female and doing their color then probably you want something to be a little more creative. If you are serving older women you're doing a lot of perms then make it a little bit more conservative.

Either way consider your target audience and think about what is a salon name that's going to draw them to your salon. What's going to peak their interest and what's going to get them interested in calling you up and scheduling an appointment. Knowing your target audience is extremely important because it's going to dictate everything about your salon. Your salon prices.

The furniture. The colors you choose. The environment that you create your salon culture and your salon name. When all of those things are congruent because you have established who your target clientele is you're going to find that target clientele being drawn to you and your salon is going to grow faster and your books are going to be full.

Tip number 4 survey a one-mile radius around your salon location. This might sound a little strange and a little bit outside your comfort zone but trust me at works. Take a weekend with a clipboard and a pen and go door-to-door around your neighborhood and just ask people hey my name is Dustin and I'm opening up a salon right over there and I'm wondering if you had to choose a salon strictly based on the name which of these three choices would you choose? Make a tally of what your neighborhood says and you'll be surprised. There will probably be one that rises to the top and that's probably the best choice for your new salon name.

Tip number five if you are having a really difficult time narrowing down your salon name you can never lose with men names. There are many different salons and salon products that are named after men so it already fits within the culture. In addition naming the salon after yourself really creates a personal brand where you are the center of that brand and typically people connect with a person more than they do with a concept or an institution. Obviously you won't have any problem being unique in your city because you're the only one with that name and it also sets you apart as the hair professional.

Hey, you have a salon named after you. Finally number six and probably most important to me as somebody that likes helping salon professionals with their digital marketing is checking for domain availability. You want to go to a site like namecheap and type in the name chosen for your salon and see if there's a dot-com URL available. Having a strong and memorable domain name that matches your salon name is really important because it's going to be on your business cards all of your print material any advertising materials, so you want something that's going to be able to be memorable in somebody's mind so that they can find you on the internet.

Once you've created your salon website you're going to want it to rank at the top of Google search. Both your website and your Maps listening and possibly a YouTube video so that all three of those things can be on the first page of Google and so you'll get more clients organically when they're searching for a salon in your city. I've created an online course specifically for salon professionals like you to teach you how to create a wordpress website from scratch and then rank your website number one in local google search. Also in this training program is an entire module teaching you have to rank your Google my business page that's number one in the map section so that people find you right away at the top in the local 3-pack.

And then finally I also teach you how to create and rank a promotional video that you can put on youtube and also rank that on the first page of Google search. I love helping new salon professionals create a website google+ listing and a YouTube video and ranking all three of those in organic google search so they can get more clients every day. I've done this in my salon and i can tell you from personal experience that we don't pay any money in advertising and we're getting new clients all the time to the point where we actually need to hire any stylist all the time as well. If you're interested in that online training program all you have to do is click the link right below this video in the description and i'll take you to a landing page where you can find out more.

As always if you have any questions go ahead and put those in the comment section below and if this video has been helpful for you in choosing your salon name then please give me a thumbs up. Thanks so much for watching and make today extraordinary!.
